  1. Question for the SFGADV locals- is there a specific car or seat on Zumanjaro that is least likely to soil your clothes? I visited last season and rode twice (don’t remember which vehicles) and my pants and jacket were covered in KK grease. Was able to remove it with dish soap, but would prefer to avoid having stained clothes for the remainder of the day! How has the parks been on Saturdays? We are planning to visit at opening and stay for a few rides on KK and Toro and one lap on Nitro, mine train, and Bizarro. We have diamond memberships w/ one-use flashpasses, so I don’t think we’ll need a full flashpass for a 3-4 hour visit. Is this a reasonable assumption? Also, does anyone know if membership-related single-use flashpasses can be picked up at the express flashpass booth near Dejavu? Thanks!
  2. Looks great! Can't wait to check it out in person this summer.
  3. Robb and Elissa, thanks for continuing to post updates through email, social media, and TPR. We can tell from your updates that Jack and his family are very close to you and your family! Our thoughts and prayers are with Jack and his family during this difficult time. I've gone ahead and donated $25 to start. As many of you know, I am in the process of clearing out room in my house and am selling a TON of amusement park merchandise, KNEX, LEGO, and miscellaneous items. What I'm able to do is donate 20% of my eBay sales to Jack's GoFundMe page for orders from TPR members. This way, members who have already donated can contribute a little bit more by purchasing items for their coaster collection. When ordering an item through the Amusement Collection eBay store, please send me a message stating that you are a TPR member so that I know to mark your order for donation. We feel that this is a great way to continue adding to Jack's GoFundMe page, while also clearing out room in our home as quickly as possible! 4. Wow! I didn't realize this existed. I have to admit that at first glance I thought this was a zombie event. Great photos and coverage.
  5. What are everyone's thoughts on how impactful this ride will be to Dollywood? Obviously it will be a hit, like any new coaster. But does this have the potential to do for Dollywood what Millennium Force did for Cedar Point? Nonetheless, I'm excited to check this one out!
  6. Maybe they'll attach the headset to a heavy-duty padded helmet to eat up some of the headbanging?
  7. Maybe it's just a matter of coming up with a better way to vet people out prior to the tours...? I would imagine that the tours were a good chunk of your profit from the overall site/club. I'd hate to see loyal members miss out on top-notch tours just because a good portion of the coaster community breaks park rules and is disrespectful to the site owners. For a lot of coaster enthusiasts, your tours are the simplest way to experience international parks. I'd love to see it come back. As a long time member of the site (mostly reading), it'll be sad to not see the fun tour updates throughout the year. All the best,
  8. It amazes me that KI still offers early morning ride time for season pass holders after all these years. Great customer service and incentive to buy a pass!
  9. Skyhawk looks like a pretty solid addition to Canada's Wonderland. Hopefully we'll see more of these rides pop up at other CF parks in future years.
  10. ^Thunderhawk at night is definitely on my to-do list. The Beast is always great at night, but the slow 2nd lift on a cold night can be a bit of a letdown.
  11. The Joker looks awesome all around- sweet logo and cool color scheme with the different track colors. I hope this one's as much of a knockout as the other RMC's have been! It'll definitely shake up the Northern California market.
  12. I'm looking forward to hearing what they're doing to the Legend. Maybe banking the turns so that it rides better/ doesn't lose as much speed in low-banked sections?
  13. I'm in the process of cleaning out the coaster closet and am selling all park maps that are unique, keychains, and patches rather than tossing everything. I'd like to see everything end up with people who will enjoy these items rather than throw them away, since I no longer have the room. I'm not going to spam Robb and Elisa's site with links to ebay pages, but I wanted to spread the word that I am selling items. You can do ebay searches for maps, keychains, and patches to find most of my items or just PM me if there is something specific that you are looking for that I may not have posted on ebay yet. I literally have rubbermaids full of park maps and other merchandise that I will be selling over the next two months. Short sampling of maps: -Geauga Lake closing year map -mid 90's Disney maps -Pretty much any midwest park from 2007-2009 -A lot of SFGAM maps
  14. I have a ton of coaster merchandise (rubbermaids full) that I'm trying to sell on ebay over the next two months. I have a decent collection of patches from the mid-2000's that may interest some on this forum. Below is a full list of the patches that I'm willing to part with. Feel free to reply back or PM me if any of these interest you. -Knoebels Phoenix -Boulder Dash -Hades (text only, no logo) -Raven -Raptor -Millennium Force -Worlds of Fun -Griffon -Voyage -Legend -Shivering Timbers -Magnum XL 200 -Mamba -Twister at Knoebels -Tsunami at Clementon Park -J2 at Clementon Park -Timber Wolf at Worlds of Fun -Kennywood -Opryland -Top Gun (generic, no specific park) I also have some rare pins for those interested, such as Hercules at Dorney Park and Orient Express at WOF.
