    • Correct - Innovative Attractions rebranded to Enchanted Parks. All the parks were part of the fixed package except for St. Louis. They apparently demanded that our park be included to make the deal. Read some where enchanted parks management is going to be on site soon. Their CEO seems engaged and Enchanted Parks customer service on social media appears to be very responsive
    • Seriously though, continuing to maintain historic rides like the carousel and Screamin Eagle will be an early indicator of what type of operator the new company intends to be.
    • My bad. I was confusing EPR as an acronym for Enchanted Parks. I thought Innovative Attractions was the FL company but apparently that is the former name of what is now Enchanted Parks? Hope I have that straight. Aanyway I was just looking for reasons they went after these specific parks since 4 of them are clustered somewhat regionally. If it is true that they wanted SFSTL specifically then it implies that SF had some flexibility on what they were willing to sell, not necessarily a fixed list. Just curious how it all came down.
    • After all of that work they put into that damed carousel ….
    • Is this The crown jewel though? Valleyfair looks pretty good. The park has two mine trains.
    • Enchanted Parks is NOT headquartered in KC. They are HQ in Florida. EPR the company that only owns the land is HQ in KC. There is a difference. Enchanted does not own the land. They lease the park and manage the park. Enchanted wanted the STL park.
    • Yeah that has been reported in more than one place. Let's hope it's true. EnPark is headquartered in KC so I'm sure getting both MO parks was very much on their radar.
    • No, they're saying the exact opposite - they're saying that SFStL has potential, potential that was being ignored, not only by the newly combined SFEC but also Legacy-Six for decades. You do realize that one of the other parks that SFEC sold, Valleyfair, was the "Fair" part of the Cedar Fair name, right?  This sale didn't pick sides. You should look on the bright side; if the park wasn't sold to EnPark, there's a good likelihood it would have just been closed SFA-style.
    • Oof. Spinner Strata Shuttle? In this economy? Very Gilded Age
    • both can be true!   tho I love that you drive, ya gotta admit, we have a BLAST together, and so yes, you are tops as an "event partner" ❤️
    • apparently the deal was contingent on SFStL being part of the parks sold. not sure if it's true, but have now seen it reported several places that THIS park was the one they wanted most.
    • What pisses me off, and has been bothering me since the announcement is this: they are going to "concentrate on the Six Flags Parks with the greatest potential for innovation, expansion, and elevated guest experiences".  So they are saying we are a lower tier park with no potential.  Way to dis us on the way out like Kroenke did to St. Louis when he moved the Rams to LA. With the 2026 gold passes we got last summer we had the all park admission perk.  We used them at Cedar Point in September, and will likely again this coming September.  (There is an e-sports tournament at the Kalahari in Sandusky we attend, and will likely continue to attend for the next few years.)  So finally a nice perk we could take advantage of, and its gone after this year. As Kim pointed out, SFSTL is a legacy park.  One of only three actually built by Six Flags.  No doubt the former Cedar Fair management who now run the show don't give a shit about legacy.  I've been going to the park since it opened in 1971.   It was our Disneyland.  We were a family of seven with modest means, so our annual trip to Six Flags was kind of our summer vacation.  I had season passes the summers between 7th & 8th grades, and 8th grand and high school, and practically lived at the park.   As an adult our family has had season passes since 2005.  Despite the park's flaws chronicaled here over the years, we supported the park and felt a certain pride of having our own theme park here in St Louis, a short drive away.  Just like we used to have our own airline (TWA), our own aero-space company (McDonnell-Douglas), our own major brewery (AB), and more, it just seems like we are losing another piece of St. Louis by being cast off by Six Flags to some unknown start up.  It feels like a pretty hard kick in the shins. Will we give the new operators a chance in 2027?  Maybe.  We'll have to see what they do with the prices, what the plan is, and if they really do value us as their crown jewel and invest in our park accordingly. Mike
    • Do you love me as an event partner or because I will do all the driving, lol?  Just kidding, can't wait, the weekend should turn out to be super Fetch! 😘
    • I think the thing they did wrong was to be located on land that became more valuable than all the other assets of the park 😉 I would have to assume all the DC themeing will go, easy enough to change the name of a coaster or flat. The question is what about Justice League? That would have to be a complete ride re do
