    • Yeah I am totally kicking myself for going during preview instead of open, but who could have predicted this turn of events.  I mean I'm glad I was wrong about them being 'ready', clearly they took in a lot of feedback (such is the state of the world that shocked is the response to a corporation learning a lesson or two and implementing it) but I can't help a twinge of bitterness, as I won't be able to get back until at best a year.  But then I remember the night ride I had on Stardust Racers and I feel better again.   It'll be interesting to see how well things scale up as attendance rises though. There's talk that they've fixed Ministry by removing a drop move towards the end of a ride.  People who have ridden it prior to 5/23 reporting it's just skipping that movement during its' scene
    • According to what I was reading in Southern California, they fired the park presidents at Knotts and Magic Mountain and the whole chain is going to run without full time management / park presidents at every single park so a few were promoted to regional managers while the rest were asked to go part time or let go completely. "Six Flags lays off Knott’s and Magic Mountain presidents The president positions are being eliminated at all 27 amusement parks in the chain, according to Six Flags officials. https://www.ocregister.com/2025/05/23/six-flags-lays-off-knotts-and-magic-mountain-presidents/
    • I could swear I brought it up in passing (over in the Fiesta thread). yes, he's been named GM. . so he's over Fiesta, Hurricane Harbor Houston, SFOT (where he's been spending a LOT of time the past couple of weeks)/Hurricane Harbor, Schlitterbahn (both New Braunfels and Galveston), and Frontier City!
    • CP, KI, CR, CW, KBF, KD, MM, GAD, GAM, OT, FT, OG, MX ??? those I believe are guaranteed... perhaps they'll look into expanding three of La Ronde/NE/WOF/Dorney?
    • I don't think anyone has mentioned Jeffrey Siebert is now GM(?) of the Texas region and over all the TX parks.  Sounds great to me.
    • Holy crap! Those attractions at the waterpark are massive! Concept art is getting really good.
    • Media day was yesterday. It's crazy sad how these things never get talked about it here, anymore. Ten years ago, there would have already been at least 10 nerds at media day posting hundreds of pictures and writing reviews. I miss them. There are a lot of youtubers out there with POV's. I'm sharing these clips, since they're from a news channel and not TPR competitors.
    • I wish I could answer your question but I'd have to shoot myself before I went to Florida in July so I have no idea how the crowds stack up during the summer. Other times of year, on Tuesdays I've generally found most things to be a walk on depending on what time you get to them. Hagrid and Velocicoaster will probably be 1.5 hrs and 45 mins respectively. Water rides will probably be long. Usually almost everything else is very short. I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to get through the whole park without express on a Tuesday. In Epic news...it's day 2 of regular operations. Ministry currently has a 1 hour line. I seriously am starting to think that they sold more tickets during preview than they're selling now. Fingers crossed it's still like this on June 2, I will have a blast that day if it is.
    • Anyone have any feedback about express pass question for my IOA July trip? I have no idea how much of a time saver it is. My fear is "wait less" means like an hour instead of 15 minutes. We plan to hit the park on a Tuesday. According to quick AI and search engine results Tuesdays are among the best days to visit.
    • My best guess is that the park is going to be crazy busy tomorrow, right? I want to process our season passes with the All Parks Passport, so we'll be ready for our four night Breakers/Cedar Point 40th birthday celebration next month. I also want to test Eve's 43" bravery, since she really wants to come. She was NOT a fan of Fire in the Hole, so I'm pretty sure Wild Mouse and Iron Dragon are off the table, which unfortunately means no deal. I really don't want to push her. Should I kill my optimism about being able to ride Rookie Racer, Justice League, Log Flume, and Thunder River without waiting an extended amount of time? The plan would be to get there before opening, head straight to Rookie Racer. Would my order above me the best way to go about it? What are the chances of Justice League being open upon our arrival? Last year, we went straight to Rookie Racer, because I didn't want her to get too hyped up about waiting in line and watching the train. We walked straight on, and I was dumb enough to put Eve and I in the front row. That made things way worse.
    • Didn't some of the Zamperla swings at Six Flags also have issues shaking? The ride was supposed to be open by this weekend but Lotte have extended the closure to 11 days and now the website lists it as closed until Monday.   Source
