The Official TPR 2010 Europe Trip Thread

Postby CTU Agent » Mon Jun 28, 2010 2:09 pm

The UK Trip has come to an end and the Europe Trip has begun. If you want to get live, real time updates - follow along via Robb Alvey's Facebook:

Day One - Arrival, Gardaland Park (Scroll Down)
Day Two - Mirabilandia
Day Three - Movieland Park
Day Four - Europa Park
Day Five - Wurzburg Fair
Day Six - Phantasialand
Day Seven - Efteling
Even at 5am Piers still looks fancy!
The rest of the group at 5am...not so much! :)
Oh, not to one is sharp in our group.
It's funny because "plane" sounds like "plain" and "plain" means not much flavor.
Would you believe that our group ate all the Krispy Kremes at Heathrow???
Oh no! We are in Schindler's Lift! Joey! Quick! Get out!
"Hey Elissa! We are boarding at the farthest possible gate!"
We are on our way to ITALY!!!
In the Heathrow bathrooms you can buy a vibrating cock ring (seriously!). Our flight is going to be buzzing for the next two hours!!!
Most of TPR totally crashed out on the flight.
Even KidTums was totally crashed out!
Hooray! Our British plane has landed in Italy.
I hate to stereotype but it looks like Mario is driving our Italian bus!!!
Bruno from Gardaland treated us all to a drink and front of the line passes for all the roller coasters!
TPR has made it to Gardaland!
Gardaland has some nice bush.
First up...Blue Tornado! An SLC with a BONUS HELIX!!!
Mammut was GREAT!!! Now this is a Vekoma mine train done right!
The SLC not so awesome...but it DOES have the bonus helix!
Blue Tornado...THROUGH THE TREES!!!
Someone recently asked me if European parks have American themes sections...yup!
There is something really wrong with this...
This is the world's longest Wacky Worm.
Seriously look at the layout! This is all for a Wacky Worm!!!
Piers makes the world's longest Wacky Worm VERY fancy.
Random TPR people LOVE the world's largest Wacky Worm!
Hey! We are at Magic Mountain...and we are not in California!!!
36088_10150218812670370_681415369_13268044_3225846_n.jpg new Vekoma restraints!
"These fancy new restraints turn this mediocre Vekoma coaster into a really decent ride! Well done lads!"
Vekoma goodness? Actually...YES!!!
Sorry, this is still the most pointless ride ever!
Something new and B&M is coming in 2011!
Gardaland uses these red light/green light turnstiles to count people going to a coaster station. On paper it's a great idea, but in practice we see a lot of empty seats get dispatched.
By the looks of my dinner plate I might just possibly be in Italy!
"I asked for a glass of wine and I got a sip. Boo!"
The Gardaland hotel is a fantastic resort! Almost, but not quite on par with a Disney deluxe hotel. Highly recommend!
The pool area is like a small water park.
Ok these dudes creep me out just a little bit! :)
Goodbye Gardaland! We will see you again tomorrow!!!

Oh no! We are in Schindler's Lift! Joey! Quick! Get out!

This is probably the worst yet most hilarious joke I've seen in a long long time. Congrats!

Awesome start to the trip report though, Gardaland actually seems really nice!

Can someone bury me something in a flower bed at Mirabilandia?? Like, a map to some sort of treasure that you buried somewhere else in the park. I'll be there next week and would really enjoy this. Ok. Thanks.

I'm glad more parks are beginning to install these new Vekoma trains. They're sexy and look very comfortable. As said, they transform a 'meh...' ride into a 'Yeah!' ride. :airtime: :airtimer:
Doesn't know how to spell 'Enthusiast'... or 'Hyundai'.
