Day THREE of our Disney Magic Cruise! (Read part two HERE in case you missed it!)

Today was packed with random Disney adventures! It was our first "port day" which was Cozumel, Mexico along with being "Pirate Night!" (YAY!) On top of all that fun we also got to dine in the new "Rapunzel's Royal Table" which was basically a dinner & a show featuring all the characters and songs from Tangled. We also spent a lot of time on the ship hanging out because, well, since we've been to Cozumel many times, for seasoned cruisers like us, that's a perfect time to take advantage of a mostly empty ship while everyone else is on shore!

Great times were had! But let's SHOW you some of the fun...

IMG_9882.thumb.JPG.8bc3dd6c387e633fbc9b8fe3bd65ff2d.JPGBefore you ask, YES our day started out with Mickey Mouse Waffles... DUH!

DYvMxADWAAYTF6t.jpg

It was a "Disney Princess" kind of morning for us...

DYvMxAVW4AAnCpD.jpg

These princess meet & greets happen on most mornings throughout the cruise...

DYvMxAGW4AAKX4L.jpg

And while there is no additional charge to do this, you do have to book tickets in advance.

Kristen had a great time meeting all of the princesses!

IMG_9776.thumb.JPG.8622988fb4b96b310dc6f17c1e7e6e91.JPGWe love Tiana! Princess & the Frog started the new "rebirth" of Disney animation and we thank you for that!

IMG_9857.thumb.JPG.72be9dc4ad31d2601464527b3e2b8cc8.JPGWe also got to do the Frozen meet & greet this morning!

Today the Disney Magic is porting in Cozumel, Mexico! We have been to Cozumel quite a few times so we normally just do a lap of the port and take advantage of the empty ship!

DSC05791.thumb.JPG.662598c00a3a8d0f57d802a935a7dca0.JPGThe ship looks awesome ported in Cozumel!

DSC05789.thumb.JPG.d6eb3cc434a2e8d058f9a160fd9e59ac.JPGHere's another look at it...

DYv6oiUXkAUEF8m.jpg

Hello, Goofy! How's it going?

IMG_9934.thumb.JPG.393ef68f515c1d30dce0837d3a463df8.JPGWe did a "courtesy lap" around the port. We've been here many times so there wasn't really anything we needed.

IMG_9935.thumb.JPG.fc8ef2b7db8bad5b4544238dd5c4ab6d.JPGObviously those are officially licensed from Disney!

IMG_9971.thumb.JPG.1884c86487803e97d8c207be2f52199f.JPGActually, this was the REAL REASON we got off the ship!

DYv6cVGX0AA81ag.jpg

We found this “New York Pizza” place in Cozumel!

DYv6cVgW0AAcA2h.jpg

It has 1 Star on Yelp and the pizza looked like it was sitting out for a while so we didn’t take our chances! We'll stick with the amazing food on the ship!

DYv6cVGW0AI8vTN.jpg

We did pick up a pizza box for Scott's Pizza Tour, though!

IMG_0003.thumb.JPG.65f7b38da39c9eaa750b25f5c04e1857.JPGPorts like Cozumel, if you’ve been before like we have, makes for a GREAT day to hang out on the ship!

DYwWaHpU8AANCYj.jpg

There were light crowds in the pools...

DYwWaHoVoAAMrZ9.jpg

DYwWaIiVMAIXYDc.jpg

Short lines for the water slides and you can ride over and over again (which we did!)

DYwWaIdVwAA8zBQ.jpg

And you can have some GREAT interactions with the characters since there are not many people around!

IMG_9995.thumb.JPG.98aacb337b40ffb1f09abed571eb4af7.JPGDid we mention you can get alcoholic Dole Whip pretty much any time you want at the pool deck? Yeah!

Tonight's dinner is at the brand new Rapunzel's Royal Table!

DYxEgVAV4AAbu7L.jpg

The theming and atmosphere in here is fantastic!

DYxEgTGUMAAYruY.jpg

We are greeted by the Tangled "Ruffians!" lol

DYxEgW2UMAEmib0.jpg

This is a brand new addition to the Disney Magic!

DYxLEHjVMAAu7ar.jpg

The “show” has started in Rapunzel’s Royal Table and it’s completely adorable!

DSC05826.thumb.JPG.1231906c87cc551b6c919718885e3f31.JPGIt really is a "dinner and a show!"

DYxOdt8X0AAjz7D.jpg

Rapunzel has come around to our table to say hello!

Here is the menu for Rapunzel’s Royal Table!

See anything you’d like?

I'll just leave some of these food pics right here...

DSC05873.thumb.JPG.adaf77e0ad629635b1a78d30c7f77eaa.JPGIt's a deck party featuring all things "pirates!"

DSC05891.thumb.JPG.07c0523c2e74b159f5fab295cdf1fe4d.JPGBut first...there is a "Flash Mob!" (Yes, this is still a thing!)

DSC05890.thumb.JPG.d8ef8954a2df808d7467dffdefc3e947.JPGAnd look who volunteered to be in the flash mob! (Yes, that is Kristen!)

DYxtOr9VAAAdDSV.jpg

DYxtOr9UQAAiAtd.jpg

Yes, that is “Pirate Mickey” who ziplines from the top of the ships funnel to start the fireworks on Pirate night! It’s amazing!

DYxlaAXWAAU2hyt.jpg

There is just something completely magical about fireworks at sea!

DYxlaAZW0AAHmQU.jpg

It is my favorite entertainment offering of any cruise ship on any cruise lines! Absolutely LOVE it!!!

The princess meet n greets and character interaction alone probably make a Disney Cruise worth it.

You mentioned that you have to sign up in advance for the princesses, do you sign up with a specific time for each princess or are there several at the same location like in the parks?

As for the rest of the characters like Pirate Mickey and Minnie and Stitch on Pirate night, just curious but how are the lines for meeting those characters on a ship?

I may have snuck in a picture with the Frozen princesses! (This isn't creepy right? Please just tell me this isn't creepy!)

I don't see how anyone could possibly find this picture creepy in any way!

Although I feel that Elsa is not quite getting the attention she deserves...

THIS is not creepy at all.. .in fact, I'm jealous as hell and wish I could have been there to get a pic like this!

*this* however, is kind of creepy. . what, was it Marie Antoinette day in addition to Pirate night?

great report on your 3rd day, and I concur completely that a day on ship (at a Port one has been to prior) is a fantastic way to spend the time while docked.

Those waterslides look fun as heck, and the food.. as usual. . . sounds and looks delicious!

I will tell Kristen you said that about her dress that she loves!

[DarthVader] "I find your lack of head disturbing". . . [/DarthVader]

LOL. . and see? I brought it back to Disney

Great questions...

For that "Princess Gathering" you sign up ahead of time for a time and get all four princesses just waiting in line one time.

For Frozen, that's a separate sign up, and you get both girls for waiting in line once.

Other random characters are just listed in the schedule and you'll basically wait 20 minutes no matter what. Either get there 20min early and be first in line, or get in line once it's open and wait 20 minutes.

The only exception was the Marvel Characters. They also had special signups (like the princesses), and just random schedules when you'd have to get in line earlier or wait longer.

^Do they sell out or is it easy to get your children in at least once to see the princesses?

I'm curious what you guys think of the islands for people who are doing cruises only the once? Worth doing or is it mostly touristy things you'd hit on normal vacations?

Thanks! I figured with the number of people on the ship there would always be lines but they would never be that bad so it sounds like's pretty much the case. It's nice that you can sign up for a time for the main princesses at least.

We're tentatively planning a Disney Cruise for later next year (when my girls will be 4 and 7) and these trip reports are just amping up our excitement to another level.

We didn't book until about six weeks out and we were still able to get times...granted they were like 8am and not ideal times, but it was possible!

As for the destinations on a Caribbean cruise, it's really what you're into. We've done ATV's and Zip Lines a ton so we don't really do them anymore. We've never been beach people so we steer clear from those. And we don't need to drink or eat a ton as we do that on the ship, so we don't do the all inclusive resorts that you can do. Our favorite locations in the Caribbean are probably Jamaica, the private islands, and St. Maarten (for the fun airport!).

Robb, what image host are you using? I'm seeing the word “Image” in lieu of a few of the pictures.

Some of the pics are on Twitter. You shouldn't be seeing "image" unless Twitter is being blocked by your ISP or their system is not working. All the images show up just fine for me.

They load just fine if I quote the post and copy-paste the URL into a new tab, but they don't show up on the forum itself.

That is really, really bizarre. I don't think I've ever hard of anyone else having that problem as this is quite commonly how we will post trip reports.

I had a similar problem about a month or two ago where I would just see the word 'image' - and You Tube videos wouldn't load on the site either. Sometimes a refresh would work and sometimes not. It's been working just fine lately in that regard, so I'm not sure if it was fixed during a Windows update or something?

Although I now (for the past three weeks) have had a Windows update that seems to be sticking at 49% before it undoes what it loaded because it says that it can't perform the update. It sucks because I can't even disable the update, so once it starts, I need to wait for it to do its thing, which is to try and update four times before it will finally boot back to my home screen. I have searched online (not recently though) and done all of the t/s that I can think of...weird.

Even my tech-savvy friends weren't able to figure this one out.

I'm not sure but unfortunately those issues aren't on TPR's end, they are either on whatever is happening with your device you're viewing the content with or your internet service provider. The only other explanation would be Twitter is temporarily down.

Sadly, I don't have a fix for it since it is out of our control.
