Platinum
Season 1 - 1995 I've always been fascinated with amusement parks since I was a small child when my folks first took me to Disneyland. But here in Washington, there isn't much to choose from. That was until "Evergreen Park" was announced to be the premiere amusement park in Washington. Said to bring three "worlds first", whatever could that mean? Fast forward 24 months, and here we are on opening weekend, 1995. Walking towards the entrance, tickets, and guest services to the left. The parks also offers "Green Pass", a front of the line wristband offered on some of the popular rides. [Entrance & Guest Services from Steam Workshop] Foxo Coffee Shop - the parks own brand of coffee proved to be VERY popular. But 10-minute lines for $12 mocha's that are sub-par to Starbucks? No thanks. Opposite of Foxo Coffee Shop is Burger Patio. The place wasn't half bad with serving massive burgers & sea-salted fries. This large, protruding structure seems to house an advanced thrill ride with SFX. Line was outrageous and it doesn't offer Green Pass, so it was a skip. Antique Autos was a pleasant surprise for me. I haven't seen something like this and I was eager to try it out. Everyone else had the same idea as me. A full queue with waits exceeding 45 minutes at some points in the day. The ride is decked out in a lush garden package making it a fun scenic ride. Full POV recorded later in the evening WITH the park's permission. Evergreen Park has another gentle ride across the midway from Antique Autos. Swan Boats, a $5 up-charge attraction. I enjoyed the view from the pier more than the ride itself. But that's just me! [Swans from Steam Workshop] Vortex, another worlds first. This attraction has an identity issue. It doesn't know if it wants to be a fun, family spinning ride. Or a vomit educing death machine. Another skip. The parks signature.... well, ONLY roller coaster. Mouse Trap. Mouse Trap proved to be popular, a solid 55-minute wait all day. Green Pass saved me. Only a 5-minute wait. Worth every penny. Apparently this is the world’s first "spinning wild mouse" coaster. Looks interesting. Full POV recorded WITH the park's permission. As the sun started to set, I finally mustered up the courage to try Psycho. Another worlds first attraction. Green Pass never fails me. Looks almost too intense for me! Lines finally started to die so I managed to get a bite to eat. One of my favorite areas of the park, always so quiet and peaceful. With the sun starting to set, Grand Carousel's lighting package began to shine. Vortex, vortexing guests around. Antique Autos is a big crowd draw here. The lines never ended. Shutout to the ride ops who managed to keep the lines moving swiftly all day. I enjoyed Mouse Trap even more in the dark. Packs a punch with a tiny footprint. The last ride of the night was Maximum 4D Xtreme. I was curious to find out what it was. Turns out it is your standard inverting spinning thrill ride. Pleasantly surprised how well the ride experience came together with such basic light & fog props. Until next time.... P.S. Platinum
Season 3 - 1997 Today marks the third opening weekend at Evergreen Park and the park has added a plethora of new attractions! AMERICANA looks interesting! The NEW Americana themed area is impressive upon first glance. American Eats has a great selection of Ice Cream, Slurpees, and Pizza Lots of classic midway games. The Que for Tea Party was insane for such a mild ride. But it is something to look at. Even the classic Bumper Car "Dodgems" had a lengthy Que. This area was PACKED all day. The Main attraction here is American Eagle, a wooden roller coaster. The 88-foot first drop sends you shaking 54 mph through a 2412-foot course. Night began to fall, and the Fort Theater opened up for its nightly showing. Tonight's movie was "Gone With the Wind", an American classic. The games area was busy towards sunset. Tea Party was a unique experience, especially at dusk Hard to photograph, but Dodgems sports a nice light package. Final ride of the night was American Eagle Exciting! Official POV. (Recorded with the parks permission) Until next time... Edited August 27, 2017 by Platinum

Platinum
Season 4 - 1998 It's finally opening day at Evergreen Park! I was eager to get back to riding American Eagle. The coaster always delivers a solid ride. Antique Autos is still as popular as ever. I noticed a brand new midway had been added this season. Let us take a look. The first new ride I noticed was the Bullet. Looks really old-school, but MAN! This ride is crazy fun! Another new ride, The Pirate. Gigantic! I noticed a new gift shop, picnic shelter, and the parks first dine-in restaurant. The food at Portside Grub wasn't half bad . Although a $6 hot dog was too expensive for me. The main new attraction here is Jet Stream. Featuring the worlds first triple-interlocking corkscrews. Neat! Twin vertical loops over the lake. The line today was massive, as I expected. Everyone wanted to try out this bad boy. The regular line posted a 90-minute wait. Green Pass reduced it down to 15-minutes. Jet Stream traversing the unique triple-interlocking corkscrews. As the sun went down, the lights came on. Bullet looks great when lit up. Looking down the "boardwalk" as I like to call it. Jet Stream has become my new #1 coaster at Evergreen Park. This thing is butter-smooth and offers plenty of inversions. An all-around fun coaster. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]Official POV Official Park Map. A little souvenir I picked up from the gift shop. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]Footage from around the park (sorry for the LQ) Until next time...
