P. 796 - Ride closing 10/30 to remove launch and install chain lift!

Awesome update. The new coaster is looking great. I'm surprised they already have a plinko game for the new coaster. I guess its never to early to win a Front of the line pass. Dollywood looks great with all the lights and decorations in the park.

First of all, welcome to the forums! I know you've been here awhile but haven't posted much and I'd love to see you post more as this was a great report.

Second of all I really enjoyed looking through this. They really put an an amazing Christmas event. We went to the park for the first time a few weeks ago and I'm now in love with the place. Just looking at that cinnamon bread made me hungry.

WOW - going to town on FCE. We were there just 2 weeks ago and I don'r recall seeing much vertical at all and certainly no any track to that extent. Really booking it now. My only complaint - and I need to politely mention this to the park - and has anyone else noticed - that Contry Fair area really needs a general refurb. Paint is faded, wood rot showing, rust visible etc. I know it is a "vintage" fair look, but its looking a little rough around the edges. Sticks out a bit in this otherwise GREAT looking park. Hope it gets a little love before the season.

Every time I see a signature picture of Tennessee Tornado nestled away in that valley, I'm reminded of how it's probably one of the most visually striking coasters ever. That spiral loop is so gigantic. It looks (and rides) magnificent.

Can't wait to visit in 2 days!

I thought it was interesting how some of the track was more triangular shaped to provide more support in areas of high stress. Does anyone know more about that subject?

The pictures were great. I was surprised that the splash battle vehicles were just winterized and stores around the track, although I'm sure moving them somewhere else would be extremely hard.

I went to Dollywood this past Thursday Dec 19th. I was able to test out my new GoPro so it was quite fun.

The coaster is 5miles from Dollywood right off the the parkway. For a group of 4 it cost us $11.00 each. If your in the area I would for sure check it out.

Solid coaster, if it wasn't for those GCI cushion seats it would be so painful.

The former HUSS Timber Tower attraction is now a patio area.

Did Blazing Fury used to be open during the Christmas event back when it was braked by water?

I cant speak for Blazing Fury, but the few times I went to the Christmas Celebration at SDC in MO, Fire in The Hole was open.
