BeemerBoy
^ lol. The power of marketing is certainly an awesome thing. Just curious though, was the shade issue something you noticed and wanted to address, was it something that guests mentioned to you, or was it just in the plans from the beginning and now coming to fruition? Either way, it's still fun watching your park evolve!

Moose
It provides a much better wave effect than the fish pipe...and as we all know, I am not a fan of the fish. Lol. Love it. Congrats on another world first!

Swiminn6
Just looked at this thread from page 1! What a GREAT concept! You know, the area I live in DESPERATELY needs something like this... Our area isn't big enough for a full blown water park but I think we are the perfect size for a neighborhood water park! Have you thought about new locations?! Great job, it looks like Disney worked on this project!

montezooma
There is a lot going on this season at the park and just like the big parks...there is 13 days before opening yet there still is a lot to do. Weather, permits and the unforeseen always seem to push everything to the last hour. Here is a quick construction update on things happening at the park. We WILL make our opening date (even if I have to stay until midnight every night). we are adding one more acre of room to the park. Each new patio area will include pop jets to create more water fun. Lots more room for lounging, shading and group events. (this picture was a week ago before all the sod went down) Digging the new Cowabunga Kid’s Cove pool. when this is done it will be a nice new sign for the new area. New platform for the “Squiggler” water slide. The new “Guppy Racer” slide. I know it is small (please no “that’s what she said jokes) but it is for a kiddie area. ummm...we hope to attract a lot of moms and “daddies” to the new area what a difference an acre makes. grass always makes things better the beginnings of the new kid’s pool. it’s the details that make it. My niece is a great artist, and she works for minimum wage...lol as Latrice Royal would say...”bring on the shade" Edited May 7, 2012 by montezooma
chadster
Shane your park looks amazing, and I really like the website. It loads fast, has tons of interactiveness, informative, and the videos are a very nice touch, especially like the one for Giant Splash, the music makes it pop. The love bug at the bottom that drives you to the next page, full of win! Crap, now I have to figure out how to get out there this summer (and I don't mean as in how to get there, I mean $$ wise)
montezooma
You all know what a fan I am of Theme Park history, and if you don’t you should check out my “Shane’s Amusement Attic” thread here on TPR. As part of our new expansion to the park I thought it would be fun to pay homage to an old logo of a theme park. Anyone know which park logo??? montezooma
We’ve added a bunch of cool things to the park this year; a new Kid’s play area, additional acre for seating, lounging and shading, “Beach Parties” group and events area but best of all...I am please to announce...coming to Cowabunga Bay in 2012...drum roll please! thrillerman1
Raises hand Yes Mark, do you have an answer? Shane, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the answer is the old Busch Gardens Tampa logo. If I'm right, do I get a lifetime supply of pineapple Dole Whip?! Looks very tasty.
Coaster Cow
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH that makes you like one of only three places (if all of Disney counts as one) that serves Dole Whip. You were my hero before for what you have done with the park, but this actually elevates nerdom to new levels. My master.
