I guess the new trains aren't ready just yet! I wonder if it'll open with the park at the beginning of May?
Last Ride: California Screamin' (DCA)

I'm not surprised. Besides the new trains and brakes, I have a feeling that most of the Hollow will still be a construction zone even at that point.
I noticed that in the second to last update, they have pulled some of the Comet station's facade off. Does that have to do with the clearance check, or does is it appear to be getting a refresh?

With all the changes to SDL, I suspect the ride will need to be tested just as much as Skyrush, so I'm not surprised either.

That's where they're putting the launch tunnel.

I am actually quite impressed that Comet is going to be open for Springtime! I figured that whole Hollow area would just be closed off for construction.

Well I assume they'll keep a path down the hill from the Skyride side open straight across to the bridge, so people can use the path on the other side of the creek to move across to the main pathway up to Minetown. And Comet's entrance ramp is basically close to the far end of the station, and providing if crowds aren't too heavy they wouldn't even need the outside queue, provided that's not ready yet.
