Scandinaviour
Great shots Hanno, always a huge fan of your photos . I miss Liseberg and Pontus, such a great day of the tour. Great to hear, thank you! You are allways welcome back whenever you have time for a visit! It was an amazing day, and probably the best working day I've had since I started to work at Liseberg in 2008. I know that the next trip is planned for 2016, but 2016 is just too far away. So I really hope that I meet someone from TPR a little bit sooner I really like this picture, Thank you Hanno! We really appreciated what you did for us - especially going out of your way to guide us from credit to credit at the start of the day! I look forward to the next time we meet up at Liseberg! Hhappy
The next day (day 3) we started with a drive to Skara Sommarland. Home to one of the weirdest coasters in the world... Tranan Compared to my visit in 09 the park added a spinning coaster. Such a fun place to be. Summertime at the waterpark has to be pretty good Anyway, picture time Back to looking at this weird but awesome coaster look, spinner Looks like they added some handle bars to the ride for all the tech geeks behind a tree just flying away here they come woohoo spare trains lots of blue steel looking down in the station midcourse area bottom of the lifthill going up station building but there's more to this park food place bouncy thing cable place for waterskiing, could be fun during the summer looking back across the lake water fun park map how many times has this happened during the tour?? one more look at the waterski/kneeboard place above the trees 2 trains best way to end the day?? Insane at Grona Lund (more Grona Lund in the next update)
StealthFan
How many times did I hit my head on the trip you ask? I forget after number eleventytwo. Great photos again Hanno. My highlight of that park other than Tranan was the guy at the shop going to anwser the phone but picking up the scanner for the cash register and saying hello in to it! Blue Turbo
Great photos as always. Tranan just looks all sorts of messed up, but in a good way.
SuperShawn
I still can't really figure out how I felt about Tranan. It was so strange yet fun it still has me confused. Superb photos Hanno, its great to be reliving the trip and can't wait to see what you captured at Grona Lund!
cfc
I think Tranan is the strangest, scariest family coaster ever. I like it, but it is a bit unnerving because you feel so exposed.
ozziboy
As always Hanno, great pictures. Did you not get any photos of Gruvbanan (otherwise known on that day as "the ABBA coaster" ?
BCTom
Tranan was a very unique and fun coaster. I'd like to see a longer version of the coaster, because the amount of time experiencing the unique elements was ultimately minimal on Tranan.
DJeXeL
I've never been on Tranan but would love for a US park to get one as its a very unique attraction. NJ and CA would definitely be ruled out.
gisco
Tranan was one weird coaster. Very unique but not something I would marathon on.
XII
Great Photos as always Hanno. Tranan was a very...unique ride. The open seats with those transitions definitely made for a fun ride.

I think the sad reality is we will never see another one. As Robb said on the trip the ride is a lot like a prototype ride that escaped the factory, it's still a great ride but it doesn't seem like its quite finished. azza29
^If S&S could work out a way to improve the capacity (8 riders per side in a 4x2 configuration perhaps?) it might be an easier sell. But as it stands the ride is really only suitable for a small park like Skara - didn't they say they only had something like 70 operating days each season? Nrthwnd
^ Yes, I remember that. And was a bit surprised at the narrow time line for their "season." But then, my park's "season" is May until Sept. Tranan is unique and could be plussed up with a higher lift hill, maybe an indoor part (?), and a few more "spins." But it seems to be like the new family coasters, like the one at Farup Sommerland. Not long in cycle time. But fun enough for the whole family to enjoy. Like I said. Short cycle, but a really zippy family coaster! Taken on 06-20-14 in Farup Sommerland. rosscoe
Tranan was the only ride that I kinda in a way felt unsafe on, interesting, fun, but messed up in a strange enjoyable way
tututiara
I want to say I would love to ride Tranan, but I feel like I would feel too exposed. Maybe someday...
