Florida Funland RELOADED (RCT3)

Recommended Posts

Guess what? I'm rebooting Florida Funland! Now, I bet nobody liked it, but I, after cancelling it, had the urge to reboot it. And here it is! Shot0026.bmp

Sorry, this was the only picture that appeared in my RCT3 folder. Please don't lock this thread...

So far, I've added some stands, restrooms, scenery, and trees. I've also added 3 rides, a Corkscrew coaster (credit to sixflagsgr8), a Giant Ferris Wheel, and a Merry-Go-Round. I won't tell their names until the park's first stage (1977) is finished.

Now, why did I post this early? I want to know how I can improve the park. Do I need more scenery? Do I need more trees? That's my question. Anyways, this is the end of the preview post!

1977

During this year, Florida became recognized as a place for entertainment, fun, and of course, theme parks. This was all thanks to Miracle Strip and Disney World; two parks which dominated Florida at the time when it came to theme parks. However, a small company named Orange Inc. wanted to have their own theme park. So, they started building their park in Tallahassee, and it became...

FLORIDA FUNLAND!

Now, this is it's story. Join me for a history of this park! The following contents are archived from a newspaper that released every Sunday from 1960 to 2001...

March 6th, 1977 - Opening Day

Hello, my friends! My name is Chad Smith, and welcome to my section in the newspaper! Anyways, today is the day that the Florida Funland amusement park opens! Now, yes, it only has about 6 rides, and yes, the park is quite small, but I really think it could grow into a massive park to compete among the likes of Disney World and Lake Shernview! Let's dive into the park, shall we?

This is how it looks from the first path in the park, a bridge.

Interestingly, this park has a lake! It only has a bridge right now, but I think in the future, they could add something!

The rides at this park include...

JUMBO WHEEL

MINOTAUR

OBSERVATION TOWER

MERRY-GO-ROUND

SILLY SLIDE

CORKSCREW

The park not only has a lot of potential, but also has a lot of beauty! This is the Plaza area. It only has one ride, the Observation Tower, but it does give a great view!

This is the Corkscrew coaster. It's one of the 2 coasters at the park, and it packs a punch! Anyone want a thrilling Arrow? Look no further! Anyways, with interesting Red and White colors, multiple Corkscrew loops, and a sign saying "GO!" near the coaster, you know you can't go wrong!

I should also mention the service here. They are really, really nice and are never rude!

Wait...am I missing something? Oh yeah! The crappy Silly Slide! It's small, it's boring, and I FEAR what it will be like on hot days. (THIS IS NOT A SHOT FROM THE SILLY SLIDE, IT'S FROM THE OBSERVATION TOWER)

Now this is a GOOD ride! Minotaur, the PTC woodie! I LOVE this ride. You get good airtime, good thrills, and it's on par with Corkscrew; awesome!

DROP AHEAD!

Finally, we have the Jumbo Wheel, which basically is the symbol of the park. If you don't want to ride the Observation Tower for a good view, look no further! Ride it, and you'll enjoy it!

So that's all for this time. I hope next time I visit the park, they would've added some new rides!

~Chad

Author's Note: FYI, the Corkscrew is actually Turn of the Century from the Great America parks and Minotaur is The Great American Scream Machine. The reason? I don't know how to really make a coaster. Sorry for this, but CREDIT TO THE 2 PEOPLE THAT PROVIDED THE DOWNLOADS! I won't name them, but I really want to thank them.
