ECZenith
Hello everyone, for my winter PC project I present to you: Cavalier Cove, a pirate adventure in paradise! We currently have three of the park's seven coasters installed: Riptide (B&M LSM launched wing coaster), Mutiny (RMC I-Box hybrid) and Swashbuckler (Tivoli family coaster). The park, when completed will also feature two water rides, over a dozen themed flat rides, and a very detailed dark ride, which will be saved for the end when I have sharpened my skills. Work has already begun on the second and final island in the center of the cove. This top secret project will be revealed soon! Check back for updates, and for those of you who may like what you see, please be sure to subscribe to Crimson Ridge Theme Park, my western themed adventure park! Link for steam download for Crimson Ridge and some shots of the finished park can be found here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=74446 Thanks for checking out my work, and as always, creative input and critiques are always welcome. Let's begin our tour with Mutiny at Cavalier Cove! This Rocky Mountain Coasters I-Box hybrid design features three inversions and a long outward banked turn. This layout has some inspiration from Wicked Cyclone at Six Flags New England, with the size and ferocity of Goliath. Night shot of the zero-g stall and rolls. There is a helix halfway through the ride, through a tunnel, special effects are being installed later tonight! A frontal view of the entire layout Looking up the lift hill, we can also see Pirate's Plunge (Intamin gyro drop) in the background. The real star of the show is the $200 million dollar Riptide! Here is B launch and the Calypso Kiss element, where riders feet seem to skim the bay below. At night time, this zero g roll activates flashing red eyes and effects in the jolly roger! B&M's largest inversion to date. The ride begins with an LSM launch over the lighthouse, through a diving loop, and off the island to a cave at the bottom of the island. This cave activates thunder, lightning and some surprises! I am pleased with the way the entrance turned out, the queue is very long as during soft openings people tend to flock directly to Riptide Island. The back part of the ride, can you spot the Kraken Pit? A new, mysterious island has emerged from the depths, any guesses on what it could be for? ECZenith
Welcome to update 2 of Cavalier Cove! My March 2017 goal was to complete a second island coaster to accompany Riptide, the park's launched B&M wing coaster. Inspired by great B&M flying coasters like Tatsu, Manta, and Galactica, I present to you: Undertow! This B&M flying coaster climbs a mountain high atop its own island, with a waterfall flowing inches below the riders going up the lift. Undertow's many tunnels glow with a blue aura as the train soars through them, creating a mysterious, abyssal effect. The park should be released in about two months, thanks for your interest! Now that my software runs on ultra mode, check out Mutiny! Mutiny's helix now has some new surprises in the hidden helix... A shot of the bay from the backside of the park. Riptide is in the foreground, Undertow in the background. Riptide is running beautifully on maxed settings! I could watch this coaster all day! Swashbuckler is the park's family coaster, it loops around the enclosed Aeronauts building and ends with an exciting tunnel finale! Here is the new resident of the recently risen island, Undertow! The ride has two pedestrian splash zones, both of which have warning signs that flash and sound an alarm when a train approaches. Tatsu may or may not be Undertow's father... he was seen drinking with Manta, a known floozy in the coaster world. The fly-to-lie element, here you can see the waterfall lift hill Here she is at night, the tunnels glow aqua when trains pass through them Heading up into the wooden bridge MCBR Where the train splashes the dispatching train
ECZenith
Lockjaw Falls: log flume fans might appreciate this: A pirate/haunted themed log flume with 2 drops, special lighting and 30 triggers, finally done! The first of two water rides for Cavalier Cove Theme Park. Cavalier Cove 1.0 will be available in late May, however, a summer expansion will be available and 1.1 will be released then. Once the main area of the park is done and the park is released on Steam, I will add a second loop around the back of the park. Future additions to 1.0 will be; Crossbones (terrain wooden coaster) and Renegade River (rapids ride). 1.1 will feature a massive active volcano, and a concept called "Vulcan" will be built in the back of the park. Canobie Coaster
I absolutely love how well all of your coasters interact with the hilly terrain. I especially like that wing rider's massive corkscrew.
ECZenith
Thanks! The next coaster to be built will be very much inspired by Kings Island's famous Beast coaster. It will run alongside Lockjaw Falls and have lots of tunnels, lots of terrain elements and be absolutely huge! "Crossbones" station, transfer track and maintenance track are already built, the fun part of construction starts tonight!
Canobie Coaster
I still have to get used to the physics of Planet Coaster and how my rides seem to run out of steam far faster than coasters did in Roller Coaster Tycoon. I like the realism but it will just have a learning curve. Taking on a coaster similar to the Beast should be interesting and I look forward to seeing how it turns out. ECZenith
Tonight I finished and smoothed the track for Crossbones, the new CCI terrain wooden coaster at Cavalier Cove. Crossbones features a layout following the natural rocky cliffs on the east side of the park. The coaster, in particular, for the front half is super fast and intense with plenty of airtime moments. Theming and landscaping will take a while but I think she's going to turn out looking pretty good.
ECZenith
Tonight the finishing touches were put on Crossbones! She shaped out to be a nice long ride through the jungle and hills along the east boundary of the property. My favorite part are the parallel return runs, running alongside both Lockjaw Falls and the Cavalier Cove Railroad. We are still on target for an early May release, with a 2.0 update due in late summer, featuring new themed lands on an upper terrace/volcano, stay tuned! ECZenith
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=900601756 Cavalier Cove Theme Park now available to download on steam workshop! (PlanCo) Please be sure to leave a rating if you enjoy the park. Cavalier Cove has been my winter/spring project and it was great making some very detailed coasters and environments. This park has custom coasters and some workshop buildings and skins. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!
