maverick4795
This is my first post on TPR but I've looked on as many other awesome parks have been created and displayed on this forum. This isn't my first park but I've been putting a lot of work into it. I'm not going to pretend its a real park, I'm not as good at making it realistic as some of the better parks on this site, so lets just go for it. With the success of Jurassic World at the box office, Universal Studios has begun ground work on a brand new Jurassic World themed park at (I'd probably guess Beijing but Florida works too). The new theme park will feature lands based on all of the Jurassic Park films and feature both highly themed attractions and exhilarating thrill rides. Now, heres what I've got so far (planning wise) but I'd like any suggestions to what fills out the rest of the park. Areas: Main Street: based on the Main Street featured in the film; Jurassic World, Guests enter through the Samsung Innovation Centre and find themselves on main street, there will be no rides here, just shops including Winston's Steakhouse, Margaritaville, Ben&Jerry's, etc. at the end of the street is the mosasaur lagoon and to the right is the Imax Theatre with Pterosaur 3D playing. (going clockwise from Main Street) Mosasaur Cove: Water park, nothing much planned yet but we'll see how we go) Gentle Giants Petting Zoo: A kids area with dinosaur themed rides (ideas wanted) Stegosaurus Swamp: A misty land of waterways and swamp dwelling dinosaurs. The major attraction in this land is Stegosaurus Mountain Rafting Co. in which you board a raft to find a missing Stegosaurus that finishes with a terrifying plunge from Stegosaurus Falls. (other ride ideas?) Triceratops Territory: Nothing planned here yet Ingen Raptor Testing Ground: based on the raptor enclosure from Jurassic World, the main attraction of this area is a Motorbike coaster that takes you on a mission with the raptors to find the escaped Indominus-Rex. The Old Park: This is currently the part of the park I have worked on the most. It is home to the Jurassic Park Visitor's centre and so far the Jurassic Park River Adventure (pretty much a clone of the original one). There is also a Thunder Falls Terrace Grill next to the falls. There'll be some more rides here but I haven't decided that yet. The Aviary: The Aviary is a massive glass structure containing a gentle rafts ride and some of a flying coaster. On Pteranodon River Rafts guests are tasked with spraying down some angry Pteranodons with water guns, but look out, guests from the shore can spray you too! Pterosaur is a massive flying coaster that puts you on a mission to stop escaped Pterosaurs, you dive into the aviary and fly through it before skimming along the lake and end up in a final confronation with an escaped pterosaur in a diamond cave. Tyrannosaur Kingdom: I assume there'll be a big coaster here but apart from that I'm not sure yet. There is also a monorail which circles the lake in the middle of the park. So yeah, thats it so far, here's some photos The Aviary: Pterosaur is on the left and the Pteranodon river is seen going through it, there is a roof but the draw distance hides it. Also the monorail goes through it too. The Jurassic Park River Adventure (no roof on the show building yet with Thunder Falls Terrace in the middle and the queue line for the JPRA on the far left next to the monorail station (incomplete) Stegosaurus Mountain Rafting Co. Battlerams
For the Gentle Giants Petting Zoo, maybe a family coaster that rides on the back of the dinosaurs with long necks would fit? Also, for either the Mosasaur Cove or the Stegosaurus area, a jaws-style ride might work with either a giant crocodile or something like that Exited to see how this turns out! fraroc
You say that you're not good at making parks. Judging by what you gave us, I say you're VERY good, much better than me for sure. The B&M Flyer is really good and I love the amount of detail you put into the scenery. Good job man! I really hope you continue this.

Thanks so much for the input, so how does this sound: Stampede! (Name may change) is a Family coaster that dives under, over and through a herd of stampeding apatosaurs, some terrain running through rock work as well underneath the dinosaurs. Dinosuchus creek paddle steamer (unless somebody can suggest a good ctr): scenic ride down from the top of dinosuchus creek to the lake past wading dinosaurs, abandoned facilities, native villages and a scary encounter with a dinosuchus (giant crocodile) (might need to find a custom scenery piece or something for this one) Hope these match your ideas! They definitely gave me quite a few and i'll upload photos once they're in the park!
maverick4795
Okay so I thought maybe some close ups might help. Pterosaur before it enters the diamond mine cave. Pterosaur's lift hill Pterosaur speeds out of aviary past a Jurassic Park car onboard jurassic park river adventure inside the aviary jpra queue t-rex attack monorail station (under construction) stegosaurus vs raft the top of stegosaurus falls triceratops and lift hill Park as of now (water at the top is the beginning of Dinosuchus Creek and the dotted line separates Gentle Giants (left) from Stegosaurus Swamp (right)

CoasterB
Cool nice idea, Just a little thing you should get Moby's Glasshouse and frameworks set for the indoor section so you can make diagonal walls and more a realistic building, But I like the colour scheme of the B&M. keep it up

Yeah the aviary's lack of realism does annoy me so that'll definitely be part of my updates to the park
maverick4795
So here's today's update, I have changed the aviary to Moby's Glasshouse and Frameworx to improve the realism (as per CoasterB's suggestion), I think it looks heaps better. I also did some minor cosmetic changes on the rock work (to work with the new structure) and fixed up the exit path for the flying coaster 'Pteranodon'. New Aviary Pteranodon's new exit Pteranodon's Diamond cave Inside the Aviary New Rockwork around Pteranodon looks heaps better i think Pteranodon's first drop into the misty tunnel
maverick4795
Presenting Jurassic World's second coaster (based on a suggestion by Battlerams) Sauropod Stampede 'SAUROPOD STAMPEDE' This family coaster puts you right in the middle of a herd of stampeding Apatosaurus, as you fly under, over and around the giant dinosaurs, after climbing the lift hill, guests dive into a canyon dodging rocks and weaving through a herd of the biggest animals to ever walk the earth. I'm experiencing the same problem! how did you solve it? I'm afraid that if I delete RCT3 and re-download it that I lose all my files and downloads! Help I backed up all my CS and the data files for the park and then uninstalled and reinstalled it (I use it on a Mac if that makes a difference) Heres a photo of Indominus Rex (in its incomplete stage before i added scenery and fixed the supports) so this thread doesn't go off topic: Indominus Rex Layout without Scenery
Battlerams
That's an interesting layout for a wingrider, especially with the steep lifthill. Looks pretty intense!
gardyloo!
Maverick4795: Thank you so much gonna give it a try, but how do you back up your park files? Cause if i go to libary on my mac and to application something, RCT3 doesn't show. Your park looks great so far! Love the mainstreet section ( how did you get the water that tone of blue) and the flying coaster's layout and ending!

Cause if i go to libary on my mac and to application something, RCT3 doesn't show. Your park looks great so far! Love the mainstreet section ( how did you get the water that tone of blue) and the flying coaster's layout and ending! Well in my case it was Library -> Containers ->com.aspyr.rct3.appstore-> Data->Library->Application Support->Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Platinum-> Parks Although in the end it didn't delete any of my files (with the exception of my CS which I just copied over to the style->themed folder. As for the water, I have no idea. So I thought I'd show some comparisons between my park and the park featured in the Jurassic World film Main Street Concept Art So my eventual plan is to have main street look like this with the T-Rex paddock on the left becoming a Walking with Dinosaurs type show Main Street in the film Main Street in the Park Main Street has been copied (but on a smaller scale) Indominus Rex Paddock in the Film Indominus Rex Paddock in the Park The Indominus Rex Paddock looks similar too Pterosaura Imax 3D in the film Pterosaura Imax 3D in the Park Pterosaura Imax 3D
