thrillseeker4552
22 May 1975 Hello! I am Nathan Lamore, the owner and general manager of the newly-developed Malibu theme park, Seaside Spot Theme Park. Work has been underway for the new seaside park along the coast of the Pacific Ocean for the last 18 months, and after an anxious wait, Seaside Spot Theme Park is now open to the public! SSTP had its grand opening with 4 rides! -Force--a Schwarzkopf Enterprise thrill ride that spins you and 15 other passengers in vertical loops! -Lumber Run--a Miler roller coaster with dips, hills, and turns for the whole family to enjoy! -Seaside Swings--a Chance Yo-Yo that swings 36 passengers around in the air, giving a 360-degree view of Seaside Spot Theme Park and the Pacific Ocean -Big Dipper--SSTP's main attraction: a 76-foot-tall PTC wooden coaster with 1,388 feet of drops and turns right along the Pacific Ocean! (Out of character, I would like to point out a few things before you get to the photos: -I am not using ANY CSOs for this park. I run an iMac and have trouble installing CSOs, CTRs, and CFRs, so I am using purely RCT3 Platinum. -This is my first story park, so please give me a bunch of constructive criticism! I would REALLY appreciate your advice! -I understand this is a park that is located on the Pacific Ocean and there are mountains in the background of the lake; this is in Sandbox Mode so I cannot change that background, so just pretend there are no mountains and it is just more water! -EDIT: I would also like to add that I completely forgot restrooms in this update, so I will casually place then by the next one! Thank you, and again, please give me some criticism! I VERY much appreciate it! Now on to some photos.) An overview of Seaside Spot Theme Park The park's outdoor food court is right next to the entrance. A variety of food, drinks, and souvenirs are offered along with a small seating area. This is Lumber Run, the Miler family coaster located right at the park entrance. The star attraction, Big Dipper, traveling up the towering 76-foot lift Seaside Swings and Lumber Run in the background, with Force in the foreground The Pacific Ocean backdrop is what makes Seaside Spot Theme Park unique. Seaside Spot Theme Park offers lots of shade while strolling along the wide, open paths. Big Dipper is very popular on opening day; it is a wonderful wooden coaster that we love watching our guests enjoy! As you can see, Seaside Spot Theme Park has lots of room for expansion; we are looking toward a BIG future! And your mouths are going to DROP when you see what we are planning for 1976... Desalia
This looks great and looks as though it has potential! My only suggestion, is this going to be a no cs park? Because if it's not going to be then really use more cs.
thrillseeker4552
I will not use any CS in this park. I mentioned that in my original post. I feel too many parks are using CS, and while it looks great, after a while it hardly looks like RCT3 anymore. I believe I can have a very successful (and themed) park in RCT3's purest form. XYZ
Good luck for making a NCSO RCT3 park, they are tough to make look good.
coolkid
You can go into Create New Scenario and change the backround. Then, save it in Parks. The best backround is the city or tropical island.
thrillseeker4552
^ I tested what you said on one of my not-so-good parks and I for some reason couldn't get it to work. Would you mind sending me a PM in a little more detail? I'd love to change the background to a city as I feel it suits the Malibu location more. I would really appreciate it! Anyway, here we go. 13 November 1975 Hello, again! Land clearing has begun for Seaside Spot Theme Park's new attraction for the 1976 season! Its first season this Summer was very successful, and we look forward to many more in the coming years! While I can't tell you what's IN THE AIR yet, the news will be released very soon about this BIG attraction. For now, here are some photos of the land clearing currently taking place. Here is an overview of the land clearing. A view of the land from the back of the park near Big Dipper As you can see, the new attraction will be right along the Pacific! Here is the land from the guests' point-of-view; it is surely going to change the current skyline of Seaside Spot Theme Park! What do you think it will be? B.A.B
Your park looks nice so far for a NCS park. I only got two complaints. My first complaint is that you should really do something about those food stalls. Like make buildings and place the food stalls inside them or something. It will be more realistic to. My second complaint is that you should use different types of fencing around your objects and rides, it looks like you only use the metal fence and that busch fence. Anyway good luck! My second complaint is that you should use different types of fencing around your objects and rides, it looks like you only use the metal fence and that busch fence. Anyway good luck! As a matter of fact, ever since I created the park, I always had a thought of enclosing the food court in a large glass building, but I wanted some feedback before doing that, so thank you! I wanted to make sure I included a variety of trees and vegetation in this park, but I guess I completely neglected my little bush borders! I'll see what I can come up with after the 1976 announcement and update (which is actually finished in the park, but probably won't be posted until sometime tomorrow). Thank you for your advice! And I actually have a question myself: this is my first story park, so what do you recommend my speed in which I move the story along? I don't want to update too often but I want to keep the story moving and keep people interested at the same time. Any suggestions? Feel free to PM me. thrillseeker4552
10 January 1976 Hello, everybody! Today is the big day! We at Seaside Spot Theme Park are announcing our new attraction for the 1976 season! Are you ready? Seaside Spot Theme Park is proud to announce Parachute Plunge! Parachute Plunge will lift you up 115 feet in the air before dropping you down to the ground, providing a bird's-eye view of Seaside Spot Theme Park and the surrounding area. This attraction will combine the experience of an observation tower and a family free fall ride! Parachute Plunge will now become the tallest attraction at Seaside Spot Theme Park, beating out the park's Big Dipper roller coaster by 39 feet! In addition to Parachute Plunge, we are also adding a shaded seating area adjacent to the ride for those who may not have the guts to ride or just want to relax after a long day! Either way, Parachute Plunge and its new seating area is expected to open in April 1976, just in time for Spring Break! Construction is already well under-way for this new attraction and area. We look forward to the finished product this Spring for all of our guests to enjoy. Here is concept art of Parachute Plunge! The large concrete footer for Parachute Plunge is now in place. Notice its location right along the shoreline! The trees for the new seating area have been planted! This is where guests will enter the new area--the right side of the main midway. Here is an overview of the new area. We look forward to this Spring for the opening of Parachute Plunge!

Parachute Plunge sure is a hit among our guests this Spring Break, and its 115-foot-tall structure has definitely changed the skyline of Seaside Spot Theme Park. Its location on the shore of the Pacific gives an astonishing view of the Malibu area as well as the Pacific Ocean. We are looking toward a successful 1976 season, and it is already shaping up to be so. Here are some pictures from opening day yesterday! Families enjoying their 115-foot adventure on Parachute Plunge Parachute Plunge and its newly-opened area is located just to the right of the main midway. The trees that were planted last January are now fully-grown and are providing shade for the new seating area located adjacent to Parachute Plunge. Aside from the new area, Force seems to be quite popular today! Lumber Run's queue is filled with families waiting to ride! Big Dipper's has been sending out full trains today! Lots of guests are here for Spring Break! Guests enjoying their spin on Seaside Swings Seaside Spot Theme Park is having a very successful Spring Break and start of the 1976 season! thrillseeker4552
9 September 1976 Hi, everybody! Seaside Spot Theme Park's 1976 season is coming to a close, and Parachute Plunge was a huge hit among guests this Summer! However, not only did we see Parachute Plunge this season, but some park improvements were made after Spring Break that were present this past Summer season! The park's food court was upgraded to a more modern look, and some multi-color roses were planted around the perimeter. A new section that sells dessert treats such as ice cream, cookies, and cotton candy was added in place of the previous shopping stalls. Here is where the new shopping area is located. As you can see, it is located right along the shoreline! Overall, Seaside Spot Theme Park had a successful second season with the addition of Parachute Plunge, the seating area, and the food court/shopping stall improvements. We look forward to 1977! And I will leave you with this. I am just going to point out that there is some open land over here... Koasterking48
Question? What is with the random dates before each entry and why are they written from 2013? I thought this park was based in the 70's
thrillseeker4552
I give the dates for a time reference of where the park is in the season, but the 2013s were a complete mistake! I started off with the correct years but I guess my last few dates had 2013. Thanks for pointing that out! EDIT: I fixed all the dates to the correct year. thrillseeker4552
2 April 1977 Hello! Spring Break has now started here in Malibu, California, and Seaside Spot Theme Park has been getting some Spring Break crowds! Guests are happy to visit because our new attraction for 1977 is now open! I introduce to you Adventure Cars; grab a partner and drive your own truck over a lake and through green scenery! Not only has Adventure Cars opened, but a leisurely walkway the leads to a nice seating area has been created that interacts with Adventure Cars! Here are some photos! Seaside Spot Theme Park is looking nice and green from the bloom of Spring! Here is our new attraction for 1977: Adventure Cars! Adventure Cars is located adjacent to Big Dipper on the South side of the park. Adventure Walk and Adventure Cars both cross over a small man-made lake. A small seating area is located within Adventure Cars. Aside from the new attraction, Big Dipper is in its 3rd season and is still thrilling guests and is a rather smooth wooden coaster! Families taking a ride on Lumber Run Force is quite the thrill here at Seaside Spot! Only the ultimate thrill seekers can dare the Force! The updated food court that was introduced last year is much more appealing and organized and is a lot more appreciated by guests. And as an end to this update, here is a photo of Parachute Plunge! Until next time!
thrillseeker4552
8 October 1977 Hello Seaside Spot's 1977 season is coming to a close, and it was a successful one! Guests very much enjoyed Adventure Cars this summer. However, some land clearing has begun around Adventure Cars and the park's main entrance. I wonder what it could be? While I can't tell you what our big surprise is quite yet, I can say that the announcement will be made on 22 February 1978! (Out of character, I would like to mention that I managed to get JCat's Steelworx on my iMac. Still no CTRs or CFRs, but some minor custom scenery may be involved from now on.) Fall is coming in as Seaside Spot's season is coming to a close. Some land clearing has begun on the east side of the park near Adventure Cars. The shape of the land being cleared is unusual, but that could mean anything... Whatever it is, it seems that it may have some kind of interaction with Adventure Cars. Do I see something back interesting back there? Hmm... It looks like some track pieces and columns have arrived. Only time will tell...
thrillseeker4552
22 February 1978 Hello Today is the day we announce Seaside Spot Theme Park's new attraction for 1978! Drum roll please... For 1978, we will be introducing FOREST RUN! Forest Run is an all-new, state-of-the-art launched coaster that will catapult riders both forwards and backwards through a long, inline course that includes two end spikes and a vertical loop! Forest Run will make its debut Summer 1978! Maximum height: 148 feet Maximum speed: 55 M.P.H. Ride time: 0:35 seconds Capacity: 1100 people per hour Here is some concept art of Forest Run! Construction is already well underway for Forest Run! Scaffolding is set up for the construction of the station. Many supports and track pieces are already in place! It shouldn't be long until we see vertical construction completed! Some more track pieces and supports are waiting to get installed! As for Lumber Run, it appears it is getting a fresh coat of paint this season! The California sun has really faded it over the last 3 years. And here is a lasting view of Seaside Spot Theme Park! I can't wait to check out Forest Run when completed!
gecomet92
Nice looking coaster for the park. My wood coaster in Catskills dam was suppose to be called Forest Run. I even had the logo done. The park is coming along nice.

thrillseeker4552
29 May 1978 Hello The 1978 Summer season has now started at Seaside Spot Theme Park, and Forest Run is now open! I will say one thing: our guests LOVE Forest Run! It has been sending out full trains almost every cycle! It is a BIG hit for Seaside Spot! Seaside Spot Theme Park looks good for the Summer season! It sure is in a beautiful setting! Forest Run is now operating! It is becoming very popular among our guests! It also has a great capacity: full trains on every cycle with hardly a line! A large challenge with building Forest Run was the area we had to place it in. It sure is squeezed in there! Forest Run's train whizzing through the station! Forest Run's front tower is now the tallest structure at Seaside Spot! It surely dwarfs Big Dipper! And its back tower also towers of the park entrance! Forest Run sure is a BIG ride! Away from the new hotness, Lumber Run's paint job is now complete! A fresh coat of dark blue and red replaced the faded blue and pink. Forest Run still isn't stopping Seaside Swings from being popular though! Big Dipper has also been sending out full trains today! The Summer crowds are starting to pour in. Our guests love Big Dipper's double-down right before the final brake run! It provides a great airtime moment! And let's not forget about Parachute Plunge and its beautiful position right on the shore! Overall, it is going to be a good Summer at Seaside Spot Theme Park! And Forest Run has forever changed the skyline!
rustyinpeace
This is perhaps the best non CSO park I've seen on this board! I really like the Powder Keg-ish look that Forest Run exhibits. I'll be looking forward for more updates!
JonnyRCT3
Ah! I love this park. Forest Run gets an A+. The rides here blend well, great selection.
thrillseeker4552
^ and ^^ Thank you guys! I already have the next 10 years for this park written out and planned; trust me, you won't be disappointed! As for the park itself, I'm really trying to push RCT3's abilities to the limits to prove that it is possible to create a nice-looking theme park without drowning it in CSOs. The only CSOs I am every going to use in this park are custom supports for coasters because the in-game ones are complete poopoo (and I can safely assume that everybody agrees with that). Again, thank you! Those kind words mean a lot to me!
