=================================================================================================================================================

On March 14th, 2018, I visited one of the USA's most notable theme park in the country. Silver Dollar City. Never before have i been to the park, but I have visited the sister park, Dollywood, last April. Boy was I amazed at this park. Not only did it feel like a great theme park, but everyone makes you feel like family! Its great! Unfortunately as income was a little scarce, I did not eat anything at the park as we all had bought road trip snacks to eat on the journey and at the park. So no, once again I did not get Cinnamon Bread at EITHER HERSCHEND PARKS

Anyways my thoughts on the coasters (We didn't see any flats that caught our eye to ride)

-Time Traveler: OH BUDDY. We upgraded our ticket for the day to be one of the first public riders out on the ride, and lucky enough (after catching a shirt or two), we where on the third public train out of the station. If theirs one thing that i did not like about the ride was it was a little chilly and it didn't seem to be pacing good going over the over-bank turns, but with the cold weather came the best thing on the over-banks, HANGTIME! Yes we got some good hangtime at the tops of those turns, as well as some good ejector over the smaller hills and transitions. I can tell that the ride was warmed up when we where on the last train of the night as it was pacing GREAT! Overall I would give the ride a solid 8/10

-Outlaw Run: What a great wooden coaster! Not only is the ride packed with speed, but the airtime is phenomenal! First ride was in last row, right side. That drop seems to go on forever and the barrel rolls at the end are amazing! There was a spot where i felt a bump in the car at the bottom of the first drop though (seems to be a thing with RMC topper tracks in the Herschend company....................if you get that joke good for you, im kidding though lol)Our second ride was in the very front, right side and the ride seemed to have really warmed up by then. That first over-bank is amazing and not to mention that I loved the hand-chopper that is when you dive under the lift hill. I would give Outlaw a solid 8.5/10)

-Wildfire: To me I thought that this seemed like every other B&M out there, but i enjoyed it! It seemed pretty smooth to from my two rides in the front and back! I would give it a 6.5/10

-Thunderation: A very good Arrow mine train, seemed pretty smooth however I only took one ride on it. Loved the drop after the lift hill as well as the forceful helix's before encountering the lift. 7/10

-Powder Keg: Why oh why are there not more rides like this built by S&S! (Or am i just blind and there are more than I think I know). This ride is amazing! Not only do you get a launch that is good and forceful, but you also have a lift hill with an amazing drop! Honestly I think this coaster is #3 overall at the park, behind Outlaw and Time Traveler. 8.5/10

-Fire In The Hole: Very fun ride. Loved the dark ride part of it and unlike Blazing Fury, the water splashdown was working and that caught myself and the others by Surprise! 6/10

Overall I loved the park, however with that said, I probably will not make it out to the park again until they add another coaster since it is a 10 hour trek from Ohio.

How bout some videos and pics! (Bare with me on these TR as I am using a new camera and still working on getting the best picture and quality out of it!)

WHEW! What a week (or two). I would like to show you all the TR from Twisted Timbers Media Day, KD Opening Day and Carowinds Opening Weekend!!!! But before Carowinds, lets take a look at Kings Dominion and Twisted Timbers!

First off I want to say i am sorry for the lack of pictures. With a new camera, I've been mainly focusing on filming and haven't been using my phone for pictures at all. (Sadness, i know) but anyways here it goes! I was fortunate enough to receive an opportunity to attend Twisted Timbers Media Day as a rider (or guest in another words) as part of ACE. This was actually my first ever Media Day ever. After entering the park and heading back into Candy Apple Grove, we where greeted with a presentation! Then onto the ride! HOLY COW Although the rides I had where on the colder side, even though the cold was a factor, the ride was still relentless! Starting with the drop you get a pretty good amount of hang time! After leaving the drop and going over the over bank around the station (which pulls some good forces), the ride kicks into 5 airtime hills (1 very small bunny hill, 3 larger airtime hills and one more small bunny hill) and the airtime on this part is amazing!! The ride cuts back over through the cutback (which gives some good hang-time), into a trick-track double up (with more ejector airtime), into an outer-banked turn near the queue and fast-lane line, hitting another small bunny-hill, into a zero g roll, couple small over-banked turns, couple more bunny hills and back into the oddly angled brake run to the station! (What i mean by that is as the train enters the transfer section, the brake run is angled up, after going onto the transfer, the transfer is level, and the return to the station is angled down). Overall I think this is one of the best rides in the park. Its hard to choose between Volcano, I305 AND TT as the best in the park.

Onto another thing we where able to try out.... FOOD! The two shown below where new for the 2018 season, MAC BOWL and A Twisted Burger (in a slider form though). The MAC BOWL was Delicious! As picture below it may not look good to some, but the tiny portion we where able to get had the following on it: Regular MAC N Cheese, Pepperjack Cheese, tomatoes, chives and chicken! The Twisted slider was also very good! It included: Hamburger patty, Barbecue Sauce and fried onions (think of it almost like a rodeo burger from Burger King but with deep fried onion on it). With all of these additions to the park, we could tell that along with ourselves, but many others where very please with everything and they where great additions!!

Onto Preview Night and Opening Day! I must be really used to opening days at KI because i thought it would've been more packed than i thought....................needless to say within the entire preview night, all coasters where rode minus Backlot and Apple Zapple (they where rode however for my buddies that needed the credits on opening day). Some firsts however happened on Preview night. I got my first rides on Volcano (and almost a rollback) as well as my first rides on Avalanche! Both rides are amazingly fun!!!!! Also this was my first time actually eating in park food as I had Outerhanks Fish, Mac Bowl (again) and Borders and i have NO COMPLAINTS! (Other than the kiosk's would not honor my all season dining and meal plan on my platinum pass......). Also As it was a bummer as i was looking forward to riding it, Crypt was closed and it had a tarp over it (as you can see in the vlog). It has reopened though.

Overall the park looks amazing even though it snowed the day before opening and all the rides where running! Enjoy the pictures and videos and stay tuned for Carowinds!!!

I tabbed this TR a couple weeks ago and finally just now got a chance to sit down and look at it. Really nice pictures and video from media day and opening day! I'm not a big mac and cheese fan but that hamburger looks pretty good. Usually we end up getting the chicken fingers from a place by Anaconda but I may have to track down where you got that burger and try that next time!

I was able to get on TT the second weekend it was open and thought the same as you - super fun, lots of airtime, and it has interesting maneuvers. For me it's a very close second behind Volcano which still remains my favorite ride in the park. I'm looking forward to getting more rides on Timbers this year. RMC is a really creative bunch and what they did with Hurler is a truly remarkable transformation!

Carowinds has always been one of the Cedar Fair parks that i love to visit outside of the normal (to me) Kings Island and Cedar Point. I was fortunate to be able to visit the park during the trip to Kings Dominion and what started off as a sad day upon arriving, turned out to be a pretty good day! Upon getting to the park, we where all excited as it had looked like everything was open...............well that changed as soon as we where greeted by a sign that stated "Carolina Goldrusher, Intimidator, Fury 325 and Nighthawk where closed for it not being warm enough". Yes it was quite a bummer but never the less we carried on and got rides on all the other coasters. We then ate, walked a little bit around Camp Snoopy, rode some more rides and by this time (it was about 1:30-2 PM) we started to see Fury cycle so we watched it from the front gate and watched it almost valley......twice. So we though that it was going to be fun since they will get the track warmed up with cycling and get it open with running the trains..................well that didn't happen. They didn't open the ride for another hour and was only having one train ops... grant it the park wasn't crowded because of the weather but seriously? One train ops? On FURY 325......... oh well at least i got my back ride in and can still say its my #1 coaster. Intimidator followed suite later on and ran one train and that had already gained a long line within opening so i just skipped out on it and filmed with my camera. Everything else opened up (except for goldrusher) by the end of the day and my buddies where able to get almost all of the credits! Here are my thoughts on my visit:

-Fury, Afterburn and Carolina Cyclone where great as always

-Hurler is still running okay and i thought it was getting smoother ( a tiny bit) near the back seat.

-Camp Snoopy Looks amazing!! I was sad to not see the flyers set up this year (from my understanding they will be back next year with a refurbishment) but the area looks amazing! there are some nice new additions and the camp snoopy fountain where the old carousel sat is a really nice touch! You also include some porch suspended swinging chairs installed and its pretty cool!

- I don't really have any complaints about the park from this visit, but i would like to know. Why not keep the classic carousel sound (drums, keys, cymbals stuff like that) on a carousel and instead give it new high tech speakers and have it play a soundtrack?

As always enjoy the videos, and I will return soon with a KI Opening Weekend trip report!! ( I will edit the photots in when i am able to)

Kings Island officially opened up for the 2018 season on April 15th, 2018 and i can honestly say, for an opening day, it wasn't very crowded!

One of the new additions for this year was the Coney Bar-B-Que! Let me tell you this! IT. IS. AMAZING! So may different options and its all cooked IN HOUSE! As you can see below, i had the rotisserie Chicken with Mac 'N Cheese as well as the Smoked Queen City Sausage with a baked sweet potato!

Other things i noticed around the park:

-Dinos are GONE and their seems to be a little bit of construction/activity in the area

-The former dinos gift shop area has now become a designated smoking area for guests.

As always the park looks amazing, the new additions seemed to be well received by guests and season pass holders! The rides are running very good this season! Stay tuned for the CP opening weekend TR followed by Coasterstock!
