The Angry Darren Mullins
April 3, 2017: Qixinggang Park (Seven Star Port Park), Gaoming, Foshan, China I went to Gaoming today to visit Qixinggang Park. That is Seven Star Port Park in English. I had discovered this place a couple of years ago and had wanted to visit. Unfortunately, the town of Gaoming has limited connections and it was hard for me to determine how to get there. Very few foreigners visit Gaoming. Gaoming is surprisingly clean and so is the park I visited. I can tell some of the rides were newer than others and even the old rides seemed kept up. Apparently, Gaoming is a rich town. Although it is a small town, there seems to be money to support and keep up an amusement park here. There are three coasters. A bog standard jungle mouse is here. I rode it twice. A twin helix powered coaster is here. I took two spins on it. There is a new kiddie coaster here. They will not let adults ride. The rest of the rides are very common as well here in China, but the park is a lot cleaner than most parks. Even the restrooms were clean. I was not expecting it to be as nice as it was. Qixinggang became my 525th park and my coaster count now stands at 1058 coasters. I have finally made it to Qixinggang Park. That is Seven Star Port Park in English. This sign is inside the gate. It is in English. This is amazing when you consider the town sees very little in the way of English speaking visitors. Here is the Haunted House. It is just inside the park gate. This kiddie coaster is one of the newest rides here. It is nicely themed. Here is the carousel shot for this park. Some of the paths provide shade from the sun. This is certainly a welcome thing during the summers in southern China. Here is another one of the many rides here. These are common in Chinese parks. A jungle mouse is here. It was made in the nearby city of Zhongshan. These are very common in China. It is based on a Japanese design. I have been on many of these. Another day...another powered dragon... This will finish the TR.
