jedimaster1227
Yumble, a new indoor theme park in The Netherlands has sent us a press release regarding the opening of their park. The Netherlands has a world premiere with Yumble: the theme park for the 21st century Roermond, 21 March 2015 – The Netherlands has a world premiere with the opening of Yumble today, the indoor theme park for the 21st century. Yumble is the first theme park in the world that responds to the world we live in today. By using technology such as Video Mapping, Augmented Reality and 4D, which are usually only used for major concerts and festivals, children can enter a virtual world. The park, measuring an impressive 9,000m2 in size has opened its doors near the Designer Outlet in Roermond. Theme park of the future Yumble combines the latest developments in the fields of technology and theme parks under one roof. Whereas in daily life, children move between playing in the real world and looking at a screen, Yumble allows you to dive into the world of the screen. Once there, you can do more than just look; you can actively participate. Using the latest in video projection and motion technology, which are normally only used for concerts and festivals, creates an interactive, dynamic theme park unlike anything else in the world. The latest generation of attractions Yumble boasts 13 different attractions, including the 4D ride of the Nickelodeon show “Mia and Me,” in which children help Mia battle enemies. Their score determines the course of the narrative. In “Tim’s Rescue,” children go on the rollercoaster ride of a lifetime through a virtual world. In the “Avatar” attraction, children see themselves as lifelike characters. This is made possible by using the same technology that American animation studios use to bring animated characters to life. Yumble is designed for children between the ages of 4 and 15, but parents can enjoy themselves as well. The theme park has deliberately chosen not to offer any violent games or attractions. Innovative business model Yumble combines several innovative factors, which leads to both a new visitor experience and a new business model. Yumble uses a dynamic pricing system based on morning and afternoon shifts. On busy days, prices increase to 19.50 euros, while prices are cut to 14.50 euros during quieter periods. This allows visitors to determine their own admission costs, spreads visitors evenly and prevents queues from forming. The attractions are designed to allow for easy changes of content. Visitors can keep enjoying new experiences without the need for expensive investments. Initiators Marc Koerts and Daan de Kruijk of Brand New Leisure: “We wanted to build a theme park that fits in with the modern world of today’s children. We saw our children move between playing in the real world and playing on their iPads and wanted to unite those two worlds. This has resulted in a theme park for the 21st century, founded on our dream of mesmerising children with new experiences at an affordable price.” Edited March 21, 2015 by jedimaster1227
