Update 12/30/08

Postby jedimaster1227 » Tue Dec 30, 2008 8:17 pm

Unlike the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit has shot up from the ground, with vertical construction gaining speed daily. What was once a flat midway has become the home to a large new stage, a vertical lift support structure and more. Over near the former Ghostbusters firehouse, the ride's track has been installed, making the ride clearly visible from all angles of the backlot.

I'm definitely impressed with how quickly the work has been done on this project, and the anticipation I have in regards to its opening continues to gain with each visit.

Construction of the Blue Man Group side of the ride continues as the trench area its surrounding area is finished.

This new structure has gone up quickly. It juts off from the side of the new stage-filled midway (which makes me think it is the station building).

This coaster is looking better, and better each end every day! I am still loving the way this thing looks, and its only half done. I can not wait till it is complete and up and running! Looks like it is time to start planning a trip down to Florida next winter!

I saw the box, and it was a site to behold. A few people were looking through the holes on the left side of the boxing, going towards Dueling Dragons. Nice update.

^Actually, they have quite a bit of the track up, don't they?

Thanks for the latest look at Universal's new ride, Adam. I'm looking forward to this one.

I will be very upset if this ride is anything like G-Force at Drayton.

Man, this is a good looking coaster. All of the twist and turns look like they're going to be fun.

At first I really didn't have much interest in this ride, mostly because of some of the epic failures Maurer Söhne came up with before but also because it seemed like a Orlando Tourist Magnet type ride, but now that I've seen some of the actual track work I have to admit, this ride is really impressing me.
