Squawk. Make sure to check out this macaw show in front of the Tree of Life that isn't on the schedule. It's usually 15 mins after the hour before noon and on the hour at 1, 2, and 3pm.

Let's go to Asia

small-5368.jpg
It's a swing off!

small-5371.jpg
A water ride would feel good today. Still over 90 degrees in Orlando.

small-5383.jpg
These people enjoyed it

small-5387.jpg
You may get wet

small-5372.jpg
The Jungle Trek is probably the best of the exhibits (take that, Gorilla Falls!)

small-5373.jpg
Huey, Dewey, and Louie

small-5377.jpg
Feathered friends

small-4922.jpg
Here is daddy tiger. Mom and the cubs will be off exhibit until at least January.

small-5391.jpg
Over at Flights of Wonder we have more lovely birds

small-5396.jpg
No more wild grapes in the forests of Asia

small-5402.jpg
Guano Joe and his tour flag

small-5406.jpg
Woops...

small-5440.jpg
But it's Ok, he made a friend in the end

A small temple

small-5444.jpg
It's Everest time!

small-5481.jpg
Looks like these folks are enjoying it

small-5495.jpg
I am not sure what is up with that guy in the back

small-5450.jpg
REX

small-5457.jpg
Floating mountains must mean we are in Pandora

small-5458.jpg
I've been to Pandora about a dozen times this summer and I keep finding new details like these lamps

small-5462.jpg
The drum show is a fun way to spend a few minutes

small-5473.jpg
Guests are invited to make music too

small-5476.jpg
You may even hear the Navi

small-5477.jpg
The Ikran, or as humans call it: a Banshee

small-5479.jpg
These totems are another really well done detail

AVTR facility layout. Disney recently released a lot more FastPasses for Flight of Passage so you now have a better chance of getting one for your trip

small-5502.jpg
There were 5 baby Galapagos Giant tortoises on exhibit. Adults can weigh up to 700 lbs. These looked more like 10 lbs.

So often impossible to see, the Lion was in perfect position today

small-5342.jpg
This African harp player was very good. Another show not on the schedule.

Photo Sep 24, 1 11 06 PM.jpg
Wrapping up let's take a look at some of the hurricane Irma damage. Here one of the doors in the Tiger habitat area had to be replaced.

The lemurs lost one of their trees

Photo Sep 24, 12 30 04 PM.jpg
This giant tree fell over the river next to the Africa/Pandora boardwalk. This might take a while for them to remove.

Photo Sep 24, 4 57 24 PM.jpg
At the entrance another tree took out the fence around the black swan pond. They've put up a temporary one for now.
