Still keeping my fingers crossed about a soft opening. Although, now that Disney has announced all of the official media days, etc. for the event; it seems much less likely that I'll be able to see Pandora. We're heading down for our Disney Vacay the 20th of May through the 24th. Literally missing opening by 3 days (this is what I get for letting non-disney freaks do the vacation booking).

^Yeah, it will obviously be closed the 23rd and 24th for media stuff, and I'm not quite sure how long the pass holder previews go on for (they start the 14th), just keep an eye here as we get closer and we'll all know more.

<sighs>

Just breathtaking. Truly.

The funny part though, to me, was the music. Definitely not of Pandora, LOL!
I'm sure they've got some amazing atmosphere music and 'sounds' cooked up,
to make it all the more real and enhancing.

Thanks for sharing this, Robb! We both so wanna go - but it's gonna be a while :sad:

While I'm still not sold on the IP, the film had amazing visuals which appear to have translated extremely well to the park. It'll be interesting to see how this area is received--especially if/when James Cameron gets those sequels made.

But I'm still hoping that a Journey to the Center of the Earth clone ends up here someday.

This looks amazing. I really like Avatar, while the storyline itself is obviously nothing new the visuals and elements that would translate well into a theme park were breathtaking. I'm not really a Disney guy, but this will absolutely get us to Disney later this year or early next year.
