  1. Am I the only one who doesn't really like this whole Food & Wine thing? My friends and I have been to WDW during Food & Wine 4 or 5 times (for a completely unrelated event that happens to fall in that time period) and after wandering around EPCOT for a little while and deciding it would cost us $60 to get enough bites of mediocre food to make it worthwhile, we end up leaving and going someplace else. About the only thing we DO get is a beer, but even then we'll usually just go to Rose & Crown.
  2. Ditch Universal and head over to Knott's. We vastly prefer it to Universal. The crowds at Uni are ridiculous, as is the price. The mazes are just as good at Knott's and even better with some of the more personalized stuff they are doing now. You don't feel like a giant conga-line of people going through a maze at Knott's and I've never waited more than maybe an hour(usually half that) for a maze at Knott's where I've waited 3 hours at Universal. Blech!
  3. With regards to the cabanas, the negative impact here is the visual intrusion. I'm kinda surprised that's not understood. But that's really the difference between, e.g., something like Six Flags and Disney. Imagine watching a movie like Star Wars and you suddenly see a Toyota Minivan drive through a scene. It draws you outside of any realm you were supposed to be drawn inside and disrupts the narrative. Sk
