  1. Thomas Town construction progress! Foundations are almost ready to be dug, and it looks like they're redoing the railroad tracks.
  2. Managed to download some HD versions of the concept art they revealed yesterday: I'm really impressed with what they're fitting into here! I do kind of hope they add some stuff to the surroundings of the railway ala Six Flags/Fuji-Q's Thomas parks to make them more like Sodor; the little freight station by the tracks/Cranky is a good sign tho. Especially hoping they throw in some theming onto the siding inside the station: Maybe something like the Drayton Manor park?
  3. If you guys want an idea of some of the rides they're gonna have at the Thomas area, here's a few examples from my 2015 trip to Edaville: Cranky's Crane Drop Diesel from the Diesel Derby (gonna be the "Diesel Drivers" at Kennywood) Salty (from Diesel Drivers) Iron Arry (from Diesel Drivers) Iron Bert (from Diesel Drivers) Mavis (from Diesel Drivers) Rusty (from Diesel Drivers) Harold's Helicopter Tours Couldn't find a photo of Flynn's Fire Training, so here's a vid of the Edaville version. They also confirmed a stage show with Percy, James, Emily, and Gordon, so I'm assuming we're gonna get this for the Tidmouth Sheds replica: Not sure how good this is gonna be compared to Edaville (and never been to Kennywood), but I do like alot of the location ideas; setting up a new station (probably Knapford) and Cranky within the train yard is a really clever concept.
  4. Just thought I'd start a discussion about the new Thomas Land theme park being built at Edaville USA. For those who haven't heard, remember those Thomas Towns (now Whistlestop Park) at Six Flags, or the Thomas Lands at Drayton Manor and Fuji-Q Highland? Well, this new park, being built in Carver, Massachusetts, is going to be the biggest of them all, at a whopping 11.5 ACRES. Surprising, ain't it? So far, 14 attractions have been confirmed, including a 20-minute ride on a life-size Thomas (it's unknown if this is going to use the replicas built by Metallbau Emmeln or the Day Out with Thomas replica they've had for the past few years), and several Zamperla built attractions, such as the Bertie and Harold rides from Six Flags, the Cranky Drop Tower, the WInston aerial ride, the Blue Mountain Engines and the Troublesome Trucks roller coaster at Drayton Manor, the Bulstrode ride from Drayton Manor and Fuji-Q, a Knapford Station replica with gift shop, a Brendam Docks-themed Food and Beverage shop, a Tidmouth Sheds replica (labeled "Roundhouse Theater"), and a few others. Work started in June, while the groundbreaking was done in August. ATM, no other construction pics have been posted, but you can see the size of the area in this video: (go to the 6:45 point of the video to see the area it's being built on). I'm personally very excited for the new park, and I can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves for it! It looks exceptionally better than the Six Flags areas and Drayton Manor combined!
