I really hope that is just that, a rumor.....the green train was going to be the best looking out of the 4, if they are going to omit one, it should've been the orange train, orange is already way overused in this park.

Well in SFMM defense, I also thought it was ridiculous that it took so long for X2 to get its chain replaced...UNTIL i did a little homework.....X2 is rare type of coaster and has an equally rare type of chain.....its not your everyday lift hill chain....for one thing the trains weigh in at a whopping 19 tons apiece EMPTY....so the chains are not only unique in how they work they are EXTREMELY heavy duty and MUST be completely custom made...since there are only 3 of these coasters on earth.....that type of chain isnt something that is kept in stock on the shelves lets say....NOW, i do think that since this happened, and they now realize how long their most favorited ride is down when the chain does give way...that requardless of how much that thing cost......have spare made and keep at the maintenance area for the next time... just sayin.

I am trying to buy my tickets and platinum flash pass online but i cannot find anywhere on the website how to add X2 onto it? How much extra is it...and do you know how i add it to my check out cart?

I totally agree about Tatsu.....when they do get around to painting it...i PRAY they paint the supports like a tree colored green or a brown so they blend in..........and the track can be anything...EXCEPT ORANGE... but i am sure that that is exactly the color they will paint it..... puke!!

I'm just curious who exactly decides on the color scheme for the coasters.......curious if that persons favorite color is orange?

Yes i am 98% sure the grey metal beams will be painted white....i got my info from 2 different sources that have very close relations with the park and RMC. Because I was really hoping they would paint those white so i inquired specifically about that. On the down side, i also wanted to know if they were going to remove the ugly asphalt and old unused footers,.........unfortunately those things are staying.

If they keep up with the current pace they are going at.....and thats a big "IF", i would say the actual track work will be completed in 3 or 4 weeks....but after that...the entire structure (including the new wood) will get a nice glossy white paint finish...as well as all the current grey support metal beams, and that paint job isnt going to take a couple of days i can tell you that right now.....then there is electrical...computer work, lighting...timing, lift chains...THE STATION, then testing....so yeah...be patient and dont hold your breath. LOL

Ya, i liked seeing the troll sign as well....wish those characters were still being used instead of the Looney tunes and ESPECIALLY the DC Comics characters.......i rather they didnt have one at all instead of that stuff...the trolls were original and unique to the park.

Yeah, that green side going into and coming out of the High-5 element is going to be one wicked ride.

I think that all steel coasters should be powdercoated to begin with.

I have a rule of thumb i alway follow, well, for me Saturdays are Taboo, never ever ever ever go on Saturday, but since you are from way out of town and thats the only day you can go, then YES!!!!! get the flash pass....the PLATINUM flash pass.
