  1. I LOVE the back story and theming. Very cool. But a lot of the guests aren't as crazy as we are. Many of them won't know of the 66 Days at Sea campaign or the legend or anything prior to visiting the park. I feel like many of them will be confused about what Thunderbird has to do with Thanksgiving. I think it would be a really good idea to put a mural of the legend on the wall somewhere in or around the station for people to read! Maybe even a TV or two with a pre-ride video?
  2. Can somebody pleaseeeee leave a link of the 66 Days at Sea synopsis podcast late tonight? I would love to hear of all the hints we missed but won't be near a computer.
  3. I was honestly expecting B&M's take on a Maverick style ride. Remember the hints that said "One hundred and two" and "one hundred and two plus one." Well Maverick is 105 ft. Could the 103 ft mark be our height for our very first B&M Launcher?
  4. I'm just going to pop in to share three of my observations from my day at the park yesterday. 1. That "pit" we used to be concerned about is now filled with water. I thought it was rain water, but that would be an awful lot of rain water. So that may be relevant or not idk. 2. There are two walls near Hyena being built of wood that look like they could be for a shed. My take on this is that it could be for the compressors or lims for a possible launch. Its directly beside those in-footers that were speculated to be for a launch in the first place. 3. There's about 5 new footers incredibly close to Voyage. Two of them are like side by side and probably four or five feet away from Voyage's base. And these things are HUGE. I mean whatever that is has to be supporting quite the load.
  5. Couldn't have said it better myself. The only thing I would add is that from about 1pm to about 4 or 5pm, the dry side should be very empty. So if you want to marathon the coasters, that would be the time to do it. Especially Raven and Legend.
  6. If Thanksgiving is meant to eventually meant to be the center of the park: how would one expand back towards the highway near the Voyage? That's kind of close. Would they have to tunnel under the road, or build a bridge over? Or is it even possible? I'm pretty certain it is a state road. Is there any legality concerns there?
  7. I had to make an account just to shed light upon something that I'm shocked that no one else has brought up. http://www.trademarkia.com/holiday-world-hotel-85392870.html Koch Development Corperation filed for a service mark for "Holiday World Hotel" on August 9th, 2011. KDC is still keeping up with the service mark. It is in its fifth extension, as of March 19th. With this being said, I could easily see a hotel being part of this huge expansion. (Note, they said expansion, not addition.) The area really lacks hotels. The closest hotel of reasonable size is 10 minutes away in Ferdinand. It would be a wonderful business move IMO.
