  1. Erik, I am sooooo happy you left in at least one photo with the Wheedle! Hope he enjoyed Fly Over America hahaha
  2. Oaks Park in Portland to check out the new Adrenaline Peak eurofighter next Saturday. Along with tons of beer, because it’s Portland.
  3. I waited 4:30-5 hours for Indiana Jones Adventure at DL when it first opened. It started on Main Street and went back and forth a few times through Adventureland, I thought it was totally worth it at the time.
  4. I'm gonna miss the airtime on that tower, glad I got to experience it at least once. That loop could be absolutely ridiculous though. Someday I have to go back and of course brace myself for the insane wait times to be had.
  5. Maybe you're right and I'm getting my visits mixed up. All I know is it is awesome at night if given the chance to ride it then and when I went to Scarywood it was actually fairly warm for October. Got a bit chilly on the Zombiewood Express though.
  6. Aftershock was open last time I went to Scarywood in 2014. It was an awesome ride in the dark, but not quite Tremors or Timber Terror backwards good. Those two rides are nuts. I need to get back, their haunt event was one of the better ones I've been to.
  7. I went to Lake Compounce for the first time ever 8/28 and first off I thought it was a great little park with a good selection of rides. Probably my favorite park of my New England trip. Boulder Dash was honestly a top 10 or maybe even top 5 woodie despite what a lot of people have been saying lately. Yes, the triple up was as rough as anything I've ever come across but that ONE small section of the ride was not enough to detract from the rest of that awesome, relentless layout. My friend and I took two laps, one in the front and one in the back, and we both agreed the front was amazing and even the much rougher back seat had just enough out of control, oh s#!t (in a good way) moments to out weigh the intense jack hammering at the end of the ride. We both loved it! Wildcat on the other hand truly can burn in hell... Phobia was really good as well. I had been on Discovery Kingdom's Superman but it still took me by surprise just how much fun it was and having hardly any wait at this park was a definite plus. And for anyone saying the flyers are impossible to snap, I actually saw a little girl snap the thing...
  8. Kawasemi was awesome but the zoo part was just depressing. That was the first place I did the whole "let's get this random drink in the vending machine and hope it doesn't kill me" game haha!!
  9. I've got my tickets and I'm excited!! I've got my friend coming along to visit both parks for the first time and my girl joining for Knott's for her first visit to a major park period, other than going to Disneyland when she was 5. September can't come soon enough!
  10. I got to ride the Scorpion's Tail at Noah's Ark last summer and I can honestly say it scared the absolute crap out of me like nothing else has in a very LONG time. It totally lived up to the hype as far as I'm concerned. While the trap door was the biggest thrill for me, the "loop" was pretty cool as well and I caught some air just before the splashdown. I haven't been on any other slide's with a trap door launch like that so I can't compare it to any other make/model, but I loved it!
  11. There have been a few that I missed due to closures or rehabs such as: Vortex at Kings Island one half of Rolling Thunder Greased Lightnin' at the then Paramount's Great America Shock Wave at SFOT and the worst letdown, Iron Rattler however, there are also a few I could have actually ridden and missed: Wild Chipmunk at Lakeside Sand Serpent Galaxi at the Seattle Center Fun Forest Super Big Gulp at Playland in Vancouver The ones that are no longer running hurt the most.
  12. If you are primarily interested in riding as many coasters as possible I'd say SFMM and Knott's for sure, otherwise Disney and Knott's. Universal is good only if you have the extra time. You could probably see the best, though not anywhere near all, of Disneyland and California Adventure with a park hopper, a good fastpass strategy, and a full open to close day.
