According to Screamscape, Cedar Fair just filed a new trademark name, "RAILBLAZER". It sounds perfect for the RMC Raptor/T-Rex coaster. But it doesn't sound driving related, which is what CGA is teasing for their new coaster.
An impulse coaster would be pretty tame if it the vertical towers only reached 100 feet. Unless it's slanted like V2, but why would they even bother adding something similar. I guess the impulse it out of the picture, thank God.
The RMC Raptor might be a good fit for the space considering it's compact and supposed to have less footers than a typical coaster. It could easily go over foot paths. But it looks low capacity.
I'm hoping for an Intamin launched mega-lite.
They did talk about getting a new log flume, which could mean getting rid of one. It would make more sense to remove WWF than LR. Plus, there's all that space behind WWF that's underutilized.
It's not in the current plans, but I would like to see a dive coaster at CGA. It doesn't take much space and the track could fly above the walkways. Plus it would be a first for the west coast.
So I was watching the council meeting video (
) and noticed something in one of the slides being shown. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the pdf on the Santa Clara website so I just took a screenshot.
Is that a red coaster track I see over Rip Roaring Rapids?
I was thinking they could use part of the Fireball area as the queue for the launched coaster that could be placed in the old Tidal Wave spot. But if it's for the hyper, I would be A-OK with that too!
