  1. Yeah. The most scary part to me is that it's a private sector arms race at this time to see who can make the best programs the fastest, without thinking about the consequences. God only knows haw fast governments are moving on it. This will be ether a spectacular success, or failure catastrophic to all of us who have absolutely no say so. I'm not a fan of government regulation, but I feel the need for some kind of intervention. Everyone is so concerned with us vs. them social issues right now that most people I talk to have absolutely no idea this is all happening. (by design?) Those most influential with AI claim it will be immeasurably more significant than the industrial revolution, and it will happen much faster than anyone will see coming.
  2. It will remain a season long "Project" until it's announced as one of Six Flags' tallest fastest coasters for 2025. Get ready for actioned packed thrills on Mrs. Flash. People will continue to debate whether Mrs. Flash or Green Lantern Girl at Six Flags Charlotte is better.
  3. It's hard work, though. But, I'm sure you remember when small things like this brought a lot of excitement. We live four hours away and I told my wife about it. It's pretty likely it will draw us in all the way from St. Louis for an easy weekend trip. Eve will be four, so we're right in the wheelhouse.
  4. Graphic designers and writers are going to be some of the first to be fucked by this. People who ghost write and do similar small scale tech jobs on the side are going to be out of work before they know it. Tip of the iceberg.
  5. I'm satisfied that one day I will have lower my expectations for the ride experience instead of lowering my expectations for being able to ride it at all.
  6. Tell me you don't have a young kid without telling me you don't have a young kid.
  7. Tear it down and risk losing our Coaster Capital of Missouri status? We'll be right back here: I hope you don't work in marketing, Steve. You're trying to send us right into the Stone Age by dipping us back into the single digits. Get out.
  8. The only Six Flags parks I would keep are Great Adventure (reluctantly) and Georgia. Kentucky Kingdom really isn't that great. You're not missing anything by skipping it. Dump those and spend time at other parks. Or, break up the monotony and see a few other things along the way.
  9. It's Six Flags. They take the path of least resistance and don't care of such things. That, and/or it may have had something to do with infrastructure, land grading, and whatever other factors we don't know. Engineering vs. architecture. The architect makes it look beautiful, but the engineer has to make it work. Most parks seem to choose one or the other. Places like Disney or Universal have the scratch to make both work.
  10. I'll piggy back that with I bet it will take a fourth of the time to construct it than it did to restore the carousel at SFSTL.
