  1. Man I still can't believe RMC built a coaster in VA. This thing is gonna be completely out of control on a hot summer day with a full train. My gawd I can't wait to ride this!
  2. After learning the true origins of the name, I'm personally happy about the name change and proud of cedar fair for trying to keep up with the times. It's a history that needs to be preserved in books and museums, not publicly glorified. IMO we should be treating confederate history the same way Germany treats Nazi history. (Prepare for the fallacy-filled backlash from close minded nationalists) But the most important thing to remember is this has nothing to do with what affects ride experiences. If you wanna call it rebel yell, do it. I still say drop zone and Scooby-Doo (ghoster coaster ). I know some old heads who still say outer limits.
  3. ^^BOOM! SHOTS FIRED! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! All yall complaining about ride names like we don't have dominator and intimidator in the same damn park.
  4. WOW! I'm surprised this wasn't bigger news. I'm like literally drooling right now. Just when I thought rmc made its mark with SV, then I hear about this! And as far as these prediction videos go, I'm sure RMC is going to twist the ever loving f*** out of this ride.
  5. Man those are the best pics I've seen so far. How do you all think the pacing will be on TT? All the elements seem pretty low to the ground and they extended the lift but some of RMCS coasters seems to drag a little towards the end of the course. Either way this ride will be amazing!
  6. Anyone selling parts for the Coasterdynamix scorpion and dragon set? My grandparents surprised me and sent me my old scorpion set and I really wanna get back into the hobby. However the only thing I've found is someone selling a full scorpion set on ebay for $850 (which is low key making me wanna Just hold on to it and let it build value). But please let me know ASAP
  7. Verbolten and Lochness Monster at BG:E Definitely blew my expectations away for both. Verbolten's launch into the building was very intense. And I'm pretty sure I grayed out but it was too dark to tell for sure. I never knew LM had a triple helix in the tunnel from watching the pov, pleasant surprise! LM was incredibly smooth for an old Arrow. I was seriously bracing myself for every element but didnt experience any type of pain or discomfort.
  8. Apollo's Chariot- BGW I've rated this as one of my top three coasters for almost 8 years (since i first rode it....the only time i rode it) and I think I was pretty naive. It was my first coaster that was packed with airtime so i was really impressed at the time. However, over the years I've been on some new coasters (El toro, I305, Maverick, etc) and they've definitely changed my perspective on Apollo's Chariot. Nonetheless, still an amazing ride!
  9. Yeah I was thinking about that too. Hurler has the perfect layout to do another Inverted first drop like Medusa Steel Coaster.
  10. I'd love for RMC to revamp rebel yell like Twisted Colossus. I highly doubt that'll happen in the near future given the work theyve been putting into RY. But hey, something to dream about in the future.
  11. I must say I am extremely impressed with the progress on this coaster. I was more excited for wicked cyclone while keeping up with the construction updates but after these recent photos, I'm leaning more towards TC. I cant wait for the tracking to be done! Has there been any word about any night lighting? It's be awesome if the trains had some sort of lighting so you could see them better in the dark.
  12. I'm not sure of my count but my latest addition was Verbolten and Lochness Monster this past August for my birthday. Both completely blew me away because I had such low expectations for them. LM was amazingly smooth. I just knew I was gonna get banged up with a headache but I was completely wrong. And I had no idea about the triple helix in the tunnel so that was a great surprise too. Verbolten's launch was stunning and I was seriously ejected out of my seat once we entered the building. This ride was hella forceful to be considered a family ride. The drop section was fun too. Overall, I love it when coasters exceed your expectations. Verbolten 7/10 LM 6.5/10
  13. There's no need to be awkward and uncomfortable about it. It's something that needs to be faced head on with no remorse: racial tensions in the United States. We as a nation tend to have many mixed opinions about whether or not racism still exists in America. With race being a popular headline in the media lately, I'd like to hear what the coaster enthusiast community has to say about this. ***Please be respectful to one another on this topic and please refrain from sarcasm. Thank You***
  14. Carowinds posted a really nice video... I wonder if that is the actual speed of the lift.
