  1. Incredibly sad and pathetic that you start arguing about a simple watermark Robb. My respect for you and TPR has been taken down another notch. If the photographer wants to protect his property, let it be. The watermark could be much more annoying. Stop trying to pick fights, then post it on Facebook/Twitter to get more traffic. That's really low of a site owner to do.
  2. Hello, I am a partner & founder of the 1scream Company, which owns RCTLounge, one of the world's top English-speaking Coaster Simulator website. We also operate the Coaster Simulator website RCTgo. We'd like to ask if Theme Park Review feels it's really necessary to intrude on our space. We have worked hard for many years to make our websites great, and we'd like to know why you feel it's necessary to add this feature to your website. We are dedicated to this genre and to the games, and it hurts us when large sites like your's introduce features that potentially steal traffic from us. Thanks for your understanding, Doug Sisk 1scream Founder, Partner ADMIN EDIT: Links removed due to a violation of TOS.

If you want more HD Wallpapers, let me know which ones you'd like to see! Thanks!
  4. For my first pictures to show here at TPR, I'd like to show you guys some pictures I took from my recent visit to Cedar Point. I'm uploading most of them to a Flickr set after I retouch them in Photoshop. I can't upload them here since they're are extremely large files, and it's very time consuming to re-size them. Here's a few that I have right now: I will update this thread when I have new photos uploaded. All the photos will be uploaded here. Slowly, but surely, I will have the majority uploaded. I'm also considering making some HD wallpapers and such. I'll only choose a few, so please tell me which ones you'd like to see. Thanks for checking them out!

  6. 1. Cyclops, Mt. Olympus (I died on that thing, even in the front car) 2. Mean Streak, Cedar Point 3. Timber Wolf, Worlds of Fun 4. High Roller, Valleyfair 5. Twisted Twins, Kentucky Kingdom There are plenty more that I have sustained brain injuries on.
  7. Religion can't be the main reason in the Sunday discussion. Historically, Sunday has been the day to rest and not work. If you go to a large city on a Sunday, it feels like no one is there. Yes, the basis of being laid-back on Sunday comes from the Christian beliefs, but culture has changed so much. Less than 40% of people actually go to Church on Sundays now. In rural areas, many more go, but in urban areas, most people do not attend. The question that needs to be asked is what do you really need on a daily basis? I see why fast food chains and grocery stores are open. I do not see the need for stores like office supply to be open. You've also got to remember that businesses save big money by closing on Sundays. A day less to pay people. I think some business would like to be open on Sunday, but it just won't happen for them. The profit margin is too low. An office supply store is likely to receive little business on a Sunday compared to a weekday.
  8. It will be interseting to see what Cedar Fair has chosen to build. In this economy, you would think they would hold off building anymore major rides. Maybe this one isn't going to be huge like most automatically expect? I think it's good Cedar Fair is giving the Paramount parks some attention. They just need to make sure they don't forget the other parks in the chain besides the old Paramount Parks.
  9. Hello everyone, I'm Doug. I live in the distant land of South Dakota, 2 1/2 hours away from the nearest coaster. However, I do get out every couple of months to feed my craze. My home parks are both Valleyfair and Nickelodeon Universe. I've been going to the Mall of America every year since 2002, and Valleyfair since 2004. My family always takes a summer vacation, and we usually stop at one or two parks. I'm also a huge RCT player. I have been playing since I was about 8. Last summer, I started playing with NoLimits, and I've created a few coasters. Some of you may know me from RCTLounge, one of the top Coaster Simulator websites. I currently work with RCTLounge as the Web & Graphic Designer. I'm currently in the process of designing a new downloads center which will be launching later this summer. We will be also launching an Amusement Park Blog, Park Thoughts, this month. We will post our thoughts, opinions, and reviews on the latest news and parks we've been to. When I'm not dreaming about coasters, I design and develop websites. I currently work with MyBB, a free online forum software program, as a tester and supporter. During the summer and fall, I'm a member of my High School's marching band where I play keyboards in the pit (the lazy people that stand in front). I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and sleeping. I hope to become active here on Theme Park Review. I have been a reader for the past 3 years, but I have been reluctant to join. I throughly enjoy all of your trip reports. They have introduced me to parks I had never heard of before! Thanks, Doug
