  1. Hey Guys, so as you may or may not know, the free dining plan for WDW in 2018 has been released and by pure chance we have booked a trip to WDW in the right timeframe. Now, being first timers from Europe, we've booked a comparatively cheap package, but since we're on a tight budget we'd like to have a go at it. Problem is, UK/IE (which is were we booked, but are actually german residents) has their free dining released for 2019. Now, anyone has ever had a similar situation and can say wether we have any chance, or is the 2018 Free Dining Plan for US-Citizens only? Doesn't say anything like that on the site though... Thank you very much for any tips!
  2. Thanks for the extensive reply I might have phrased it badly, my question was if the parks are "quick enough" with their halloween decorations in the parks and on the rides. But some people already told us it usually takes about 2-3 weeks for the parks to fully transform, also the same amount of time rides like SpaceMountain and HauntedMansion would be down, which rules an experiment like this out of the question. Indeed, there is a lot of planning involved. We will most likely stay at some Good Neighbour Hotel for DLR/DCA and maybe Knotts, and "move" for a few nights for Universal and SFMM respectively. Sightseeing in the traditional sense is not that high a priority.
  3. Hey there, first of all, we are long time followers of TPR from far away Germany, thanks a bunch for the fun trip reports, povs and useful tips. This year we want to make it happen and visit the US for the first time, or rather, visit Disneyland and do a bunch of other stuff in the area since we will be going around september / halloweentime, we wondered if it would be possible to - visit "vanilla" Disneyland for 3 days - then do universal, knotts, sfmm - come back to a halloween'd Disney maybe this has actually been done before? move this post if needed, thanks and keep doing what'ya doing! best regards, ben
  4. That's what I'm working on at the moment, Sycamore Grove Amusement Park. At the time it features a few flatrides, a Leap-the-Dips-style woodie and a darkride. More screens to come.
  5. Hi folks! The name's Ben, 22 years old, a long time silent member but since the TrackoftheWeek-Contests I do actually have two posts for a beginning As for coaster-related stuff, the park I have visited the most often is Heide-Park, but not this season, since IMO it's going downhill. Being from Germany, I have visited some parks here (except for Holiday Park and the smaller ones like Plohn, Skyline, ...) and did my own UK-Tour featuring Alton, Blackpool, Thorpe and Chessington. Would be glad to be part of a TPR-Tour sometime. /geek To give this a taste of 'normal' "who-am-I"-posts, I also like to call myself a musician, and frequently travel across the country to visit a lot of metal shows and festivals.
  6. Here's my Mine Train entry, "Ghost Train". No trainers used, I made a custom scenario without CSO but a really high maximum loan to be able to afford all the landscaping. I hope that's not against the rules? Ghost Train TOTW Entry
