  1. Man I must be blind or something cause the ride has seemed to be running great this year to me. It had its one little 2-3 day span of downtime, but other than that its seems to have been pretty consistant. Yesterday I don't remember it going down mechanicaly at all. It closed for weather a few times, but suprisingly was one of the first rides open after the weather cleared.
  2. Here's my home town. This is pretty much the pride and joy of my hometown, I'm sure you can imagine.
  3. Still at an hourly rate. I like to know that the more hours I put in the happier my paychecks will be though. 96 hour (in one week) paychecks make me real happy
  4. I think its a fun concept, but I don't think I'd ever have the time or money to do it. Working at Cedar Point makes it hard to hit any park outside of a days drive because I have a 6 day week working schedule for the entire coaster season. Beyond that I have to penny pinch the entire offseason if I want to keep my appt. Like I siad fun concept, but I don't think I'd be able to make one. Maybe in a few years when I make more I could manage a FL or CA, offseason trip.
  5. I got pulled over for speeding two summers ago, but got off with a warning. Before that I got a ticket for going 25mph in a 35. How you ask? Well apperently you can "be speeding too fast for conditions" still think that ticket was bologne.
  6. I thought it was pretty good. It makes me miss Top Gun. I'd recommend more action with the camera though. More pans and tilts, zooms and such. It adds energy to the video in my opinion.
  7. I love my digital camera! Canon S50. Had it for about a year now and absolutely love it. Takes amazing pictures, and descent videos.
  8. Cockroaches!!!!! By far the most terrifing thing to me!!

  10. I still get scared on drop towers, but add me to the Acro count. Seeing the bottom of the tower while your up there makes it way scarier than the other drop towers. The helplessness when your feet leave the ground too. Power Tower drop makes me uneasy when I'm on the inside of the towers. I don't like being able to see the other towers because it puts everything in perspective.
  11. I've had the idea with the sit down cars above the track and the inverted below too. Another one kinda along the same lines. Would be like a dueling intamin. Certain parts of the ride the two seperate tracks would merge into normal intamin "4 rail" track and one train would be on one side and the other would be on the other side. It wouldn't even need that much support cause the trains G-forces would cancel each other out Also like one train could do a corkscrew and the other would do a little airtime pop over it. Wouldn't add much to the ride, but it would be fun to watch from the side. Another one I had was involving inverted and flying designs. Using a slightly modded B&M flying coaster train, and modify BA& track with a 4th rail system like X. Make a B&M coaster that can switch back and foward between flying and inverted during the course of the ride. So say your heading right towards a wall that the inverted trains couldn't clear. The 4th rails raise up pulling up the bottom of the train into the flying position and you clear it fine. Oh yeah. [/b]
  12. I also use to manage at a movie theatre. At first I thought I could see myself making my way through the company and hopefully being like a GM at a 16 plex or maybe a DM if lucky, but all of a sudden the job just got really boring and I didn't like it anymore so I moved on. Now I work at Cedar Point and I could see myself trying to make a career out of it. Everyday I look foward to work. There hasn't been a single day in my two and half seasons that I didn't want to go to work. It may not pay the best but I wouldn't trade my job for anything.
  13. I'm not religous in the least. My brother is an ordained minister so whenever we get together it can be pretty humurous. I use to believe that when you die afterlife is like a dream, which would explain all the different religons. It would make all of them right. People have such a strong faith in heaven and christianity then of course their "afterlife dream" would seem like heaven. People who believed in reincarnation would "dream" of being reincarnated. etc etc. I gave up that belief though because its too good to be true. I want to believe in "the afterlife dream" or reincarnation, or a betterlife after death, but in the end I believe when you die, thats it.
