  1. You should do 2 full days at Universal (1 day for each park) and a day at Sea World.
  2. For legal reasons, employees are not allowed to tell guests their shelter locations. Guests are allowed to follow though as the employees can't really tell people no (also for legal reasons). While I've never experienced a full out tornado, I know SFGam employees are told to go under Loggers Run, Dare Devil Dive, and in the train tunnel. Another location was Space Shuttle America, but that's kind of gone......
  3. Thanks. I know I made the list, but I updated my bid so I hoping I would see my new position. ...Now I am just worried if it doesn't open on time.
  4. Can anyone connect to this page? http://www.firelandsredcross.org/ShootTheRapids/
  5. I may be completely wrong, but I believe that the trains do have emergency brakes built in. I know that in 1998 on the Demon at SFGAm, a guide wheel separated from the axle of the last car. A mechanical safety system built into the wheel assembly engaged which prevented the train from derailing. I think that a similar situation happened here when the wheel assembly on Expedition GeForce failed. I'm just glad that the safety system worked and people aren't seriously hurt because it could have been much worse. Hopefully the European media won't make a big deal out of this like they would here in the states. There are no mechanical braking systems on the trains..when an axle breaks, it's going to jam in the track and either break off completely or/and jam the train into the spine/ribs of the track.
  6. All-Stars could be jammed or "not too horrible"..Best perk to All Stars is the cafeterias they have. Worst is that the Bus System runs by going to all 3 All Star Resorts so the busses are almost always full. What refurbishments are you looking for? Anything approved for refurb has been posted already.
  7. It has been confirmed that Condor will not reopen during the remainder of the 2009 season. They have removed the birds and are beginning to disassemble the sweeps for the refurbishment.
  8. I called the general 1-800 number and asked about this. I was told that Gold and Platinum passholders would be allowed to enter the park an hour early once the ride officially opens to ride. This is similar to what sister park BGT or BGA did with Sheikra. $400 Platinum pass is finally worth it!!
