  1. I must say I was a bit disappointed when I heard of this the first time. Mainly out of two reasons. First, a drop ride is not the biggest hole i Liseberg's arsenal since they already have Höjdskräcken. Second, I really like observation towers. Especially the one at Liseberg inasmuch as it's the tallest structure i all of Göteborg and the view is great! But I'll probably change my mind once I take a ride But then I read about AtmosFear at Liseberg's homepage and found something hopefull. In the questions-answer section of the ride (only in Swedish) it says: Q - Does the construction of AtmosFear mean that there won't be an observation attraction at Liseberg in the future? A - Next year there will not be one. Beyond, you'll have to wait and see... (free translation) Does this mean we'll see a new (taller) observation tower at Liseberg in the coming years? I certainly hope so! I also have to agree with everyone before me; the advertising of AtmosFear is fantastic!
  2. This looks great! Thanks for the photos Loefet; now I can follow the progress even though I don't have time to go there myself (school is killing me...)
  3. I have tried this several times without any progress... Either nothing happens or the train disappear, which causes an error when testing the coaster. I'm guessing it's the 1.32 version that doesn't work with Windows 7 32-bit
  4. This is great! With all the talk about Liseberg VS. Gröna Lund recently (if you haven't seen it; read this thread) I have to say that these additions/improvements magnifies the biggest gap between the two (according to me any how). Liseberg has always had something for everyone whilst Gröna Lund has been more thrill-centered. So this is great news for Liseberg as a family attraction. With that being said; I am a bit disappointed. Because after all I am a thrill seeker and would like to see some big bad a$$ rides. / Johan *longing-for-2011* Andersson
  5. Then I'm very sorry to bring bad news... My computer crashed a couple of weeks ago, and it took all of my files with it... And now I have problems finding the program I used for this project but I'll keep on looking. The problem is that I can't remember what it was called. If I recall correctly it was Ride Maker/Creator or something like that. If anyone can tell me what its called or if someone have it I'd greatly appreciate it! I will return if I find it!
  6. I agree; we'll probably not see any other big news this year... Right here: At the start page at Liseberg.se
  7. Liseberg has announced Quick Pass as "the biggest news of the year"! I couldn't find it in English but for my fellow swedes here is the page at Liseberg's web page. A short explanation; anyone that buys a one day unlimited pass will be able to reserve the five biggest attractions in the park at any free time. This means that, in connection with the purchase, you'd have to decide when you want to ride a ride. You can for example book a seat on Balder at 12:00 and later a ride on Flume Ride at 13:30. If you are there at the given time you can walk past the entire line, sit down and enjoy the ride. Only one time on each ride is available for each day pass. The five attractions which offers Quick Pass is; Balder, Kanonen, Lisebergbanan, Flume Ride and Kållerado. As already mentioned, the say that this is the biggest news of the year; not the only one. But they still haven't announced any new rides or other attractions... I really hope they will!
  8. This is looking great! The rapids seems to become a really good ride and as for the supports for the floorless; nice! And with the river running through the screen it looks as if it'll turn out pretty sweet! But is the orange color scheme something you'll keep? Because I must say I liked the black better...
  9. thrillrideseeker: True, it can do much more. But because I haven't finished the six-across-trains they can not do many maneuvers, thus the simple track layout. Chris Benvenuto: yeah! it would be awesome with more experimental coasters. But I guess it's too expensive... However I promise that if I ever become a billionaire I'll make one of these (but a much longer layout of course!) I've made some progress on the trains. They are still far from completed though. I hope to finish them during the Christmas-holiday.
  10. ^Of course! That's the reason I posted it here so that it can be implemented in parks all around the RCT-world
  11. I've made this coaster a couple of times in RCT2 & 3. But I have to agree with the previous; it's a bit short but a great concept non the less!
  12. I'm sorry. I had totally forgot that I made the thread about that park. But yes, it's exactly the same layout. The trains however is brand new but they're far from finished. In some elements the cars turn the wrong way which looks messed up... Unfortunately I don't have time to complete it now. Exams are closing in and as I'm writing this I'm recovering from an unknown illness (probably swine flue) which means that I have not been able to do as much as Id hoped for... But if someone want to finish it I'm posting a download of the coaster at it's present state.
  13. I've been trying for some time now to make a coaster with high peep-capacity and finally I made it. It isn't perfect and it is very possible that I won't have time to make i perfect either. But it has (VERY!) high capacity and looks pretty cool, if I may say so myself Why does it have so large throughput then? It's because it has trains with 7 cars and six (yes you read that right; six!) peeps per car in a row, giving each train a total peep-count of 42. With two trains operating the coaster can hold 84 peeps at one time. But this number increases rapidly when more trains are added (remember: this is only a small prototype, but it is very capable of acting as a, let's say, hyper coaster with four trains) The coaster layout is also a new idea I've made myself and I've never seen anywhere else (correct me if I'm wrong). It has a swinging start, which means that the train goes forward and backward several times in a U-shaped track piece until it gains enough speed to make it over the top. After the top-hat it enters a dive loop before the main brake. Hope you all like it! Bild 3.bmp yes! the train has cars with six peeps! looks nice if you ask me bild 2.bmp does this look a bit strange? Bild 1.bmp The complete layout
  14. I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 too but I haven't experienced any thing like that. NL worked fine from the start with W7 for me. The only thing I can thing of is, as already mentioned by Angry_Gumball, new drivers for the graphics card.
  15. ^ that's because they weren't built at the same time. Uppskjutet (the Space Shot) was built 1996 and was "given" to Liseberg by Vekoma as compensation for Hang Over, the Inverted Boomerang. Hang Over had some technical problems that made it stay closed for another year and there for Vekoma payed for Uppskjutet (worth 8,1 million SEK, about 1,1 million USD). Höjskräcken (Turbo Drop) was built four years after (2000). Anyhow, great TP and really nice photos of the rides! I'm looking forward to Christmas at Liseberg. I haven't got time to go there yet...
