  1. Wow! I sure hope I can spare the time and cash to enjoy those views in person sometime soon!
  2. Elissa definitely has it right with Dodonpa. That coaster has the most extreme launch I have ever felt. Only launch ever to literally take my breath away. I would also agree with Chiller being most forceful feeling LIM launch.
  3. The link below is to a post on SFOG.net by Jim Tayler the SFOG PR Manager stating that Ninja is not getting new trains and that there is a new train on the way for MindBender. http://www.sfog.net/forums/index.php?topic=708.msg12342#msg12342 As for pics of Ninja with black supports that will have to wait until park is open on Saturday as the ride is inside the park.
  4. You did a very good job but forgot one important detail. A third train has been aquired for Mindbender which will allow 2 train operation almost all the time now. The forums over at SFOG.net have plenty of information about what is new to SFOG in 2006 including input directly from the parks PR department.
  5. Unless you try during rush hour it should not take more than 30 minutes to drive from the Airport to Six Flags and it takes about an hour when you use public transportation (MARTA). I live in the Atlanta area and travel frequently. The Atlanta airport is one of the easiest airports anywhere when it comes to finding your way around. It can get very crowded during peak travel times but most of the time it is not crowded at all and being so big it evens feels a bit empty when it is outside of peak travel time. Customs and Immigration in Atlanta is very straight forward and not nearly as bad as say trying to enter the country through a Texas airport (especialy when you are hispanic). The only times I have had long lines getting through customs and immigration is when I have been unlucky enough to have several international flights land at the same time. The longest I have ever had to wait when coming in from an International flight is 1 hour which is very comparable to what I have experienced elsewhere and much shorter than the nightmare 2.5 hour ordeal I experience in Tokyo last September or being rejected by Chinese immigration while trying to enter Hong Kong due to my passport being damaged. Most of the time it is smooth sailing as there is plenty of capacity.
  6. I was at SFoG to get my season pass processed also and I took some pictures. The bunny hops look great. I hope this thing rides as good as it looks. Nice view from just inside the front gates.
  7. I was one of eight people that survived GASM at SFoG for 367 laps over 30 hours in June of 2003. We did a grand total of 248 miles during the 30 hours that we were on it. I stayed in the same front row seat the whole time except for the five minute breaks we had at the top of each hour and the 30 minutes for lunch and dinner. We even got to ride for a few hours in the rain early Saturday morning. It was one of the wildest things I have ever done. Painful and fun all at the same time.
  8. Opening day for SFoG is Saturday, March 4. SFoG will be open every weekend starting March 4 through May 26 when daily operation begins. SFoG will also be open daily from April 1-9 for Spring Break.
