  1. Yeah by coach they just mean a bus. The roads in Alton are really bad as there are so many tight turns and narrow parts on what is a really hilly terrain. Every time I go to Alton Towers i'm suprised that a bus can manoeuver some of the turns. When I was leaving last time I was there a car had crashed on one of the blind bends just a few hundred meters from the park gates. Still its very upsetting to hear that someone died and so many people were injured.
  2. Mine was the Twin Looper at American Adventure here in the UK. It was NOT a smooth ride but I think I was small enough to avoid too much pain. Only other looping ride there was a Vekoma Boomerang and it gave me the confidence in loops to ride that beast
  3. Thanks both of you... The boats I was referring to Dylan were these little power boats. Nothing special but I thought they would be a good laugh Here have a link of an image... http://www.arondaparks.com/images/boating1.jpg and then as I’m so good to you, have a nice picture someone took with some monorail love. Yey http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2163/1715893749_f031f1ec72.jpg?v=0 Thanks Elissa, and while I’ve hopefully got your attention, as you and Robb do quite a bit of travelling. Do you have a certain site or company you use for all your international flights? I’ve been looking around but if there’s anywhere in particular that you know of that does good deals I might of missed id be extremely grateful.
  4. For a while now i've been thinking about trying to get a trip over to Florida to hit up Disney. As not working and being a standard poor UK student money has been a bit of an issue. I have been thinking of disney hotels to see if the benefits would be worth the extra cost. Things that caught my eye however were the Boat rentals and the Bike rentals which i think would be an awesome way to get to look around the resorts grounds and have a bit of a relaxed day. Does anyone know if you have to be in a Disney hotel to do these activities. I haven't found anywhere on the Disney site or other sites which says that you have to, but I don't want to turn up and just have a CM turn me away. I also saw somewhere about a Segway tour around the Fort Wilderness area. Is this a resort only feature as well and has anyone done it???
  5. I really like those flats. Possibly my all time favorite. very sad to hear of the accident. Glad that no one was killed though. seem to have been quite a few theme park related accidents recently which is a real shame. I'm wondering where the main axis of the ride was when the ride carriage began to move independently.
  6. Im looking forward to Thorpe Parks new coaster, hopefully the dark ride section before the lift will be well themed. Im also a fan of launched coasters that launch from the station itself such as Rita, Stealth, Xcelerator. I know its not really much of a pre lift but I love being so close when the train gets thrown out the station. Its great fun to see the expressions people pull.
  7. This is how i feel about it all really. I have only seen videos of F'n Mania and although it might not appeal to me as much as Expedition Everest or some of their other rides I know I will be having fun and loving the Disney experience. At the same time I think complaining is a way of life. Its human nature and is always going to happen. People just need to think about what they are about to say more. Things have to be done for the parks sake. Constructive criticism is something people struggle to do. Problem is people seem to be a lot quicker and more comfortable to complain before they compliment and congratulate an Imagineer on their work.
  8. Awesome pictures so far dude. Big thanks for putting in the effort and uploading all these, really appreciate it as I would of loved to be on the trip Keep up the awesomeness
  9. Some great pictures and captions, really enjoyed that TR, thanks for posting it Never seen pictures of IOA so quiet, must of been kind of weird but super awesome as well
  10. Great pics dude. You seem to be having a great trip. Hopefully I can get out there at one point. Dollywood just sounds such a great park and i've heard so many good things about it. Enjoy the rest of your trip
  11. Shame if it goes in a way as it is an iconic attraction..Its terrible and I don't bother riding it anymore, but thats not the point. I wish they never shut the black hole. That was more of a blow to me then this, used to love that ride. Hope they totaly kill the ride ripping it to shreds Robb style, although maybe a new garden sculpture would be interesting.
  12. Awesome photos dude. Reminds me of when I used to go with my parents over to IOW when i was younger. Great stuff. Hope you had fun
  13. I managed to get a free trip to Alton Towers last week. Think its was Oblivion that was my last ride of the day. Cot to love B&M Dive Machines
  14. Shame about the weather, but man the view from your hotel is awesome. Looking forward to the rest of the pictures, thanks for uploading them. Wish I could get out to Florida this summer
